The projects in question are among the biggest undertakings of the network in the past months. Thus, production costs are quite high, and the poor ratings as well as advertising lack are making it hard to achieve the expected return on investment. As they scrutinized the performance, one conclusion was made and that revolved around Competent Actor (CA).
The analysis came to a conclusion that CA might have lost his appeal, and the audience is no longer interested in watching him as before. Even if his project is more interesting and challenging, it could hardly move to the desire place in the ratings board. Then, the whisper became loud, that is, the reason for CA’s lost appeal is not he is already taken. Hence, his having a partner could have alienated fans, and thus, leading to lower viewership. Meanwhile, the other project started with a bang, but the momentum could not be sustained. As weeks passed, the show began to drag, which, also lowered the rating.
As timing is essential, the network would have wanted the time slots of the said projects to be rating-savvy. Unfortunately, that is not the situation. With the projects not doing quite well, the axe is about to fall and it’s just a matter of time. Incidentally, the other loveteam of the network is apparently gaining better ratings than the other two despite the later timeslot.
Lagging behind has not always been the situation of the network. However, regardless of the attempts to dislodge the rival show, nothing is happening. The question is if the network will be able to come up with a solution to rescue the time slot. At this point, unless a major change happens, the shows might have a run shorter than expected.
