Singer-comedian Blakdyak was found dead inside his condominium unit in Sampaloc, Manila on Monday.
According to the police, Blakdyak's son found the lifeless comedian at around 6 p.m.
His head was covered with a plastic bag.
Police have not determined whether there was foul play in the comedian's death. They were still investigating as of posting.
A native of Zambales, Blakdyak, or Joseph Formoran Amoto in real life, is the singer behind famous '90s novelty hits, such as "Modelong Charing," "Noon At Ngayon," and "Asin At Paminta."
He was married to Twinkle Estanislao with whom he has four children.
In 2014, he made headlines after he was arrested for malicious mischief, alarm and scandal, and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia in his apartment in Cubao.
Despite this, the comedian was able to pick himself up and resume his career.
He headlined shows and gigs, and was collaborating with veteran composer Lito Camo for a new album. -- report from Hajji Kaamiño, DZMM

Mulling over the Attractive Offer

PP has a long list of accomplishments over the years he was involved in the public affairs department of a Huge Station (HS). However, his career began very early and from that moment onwards, his potential to reach greatness in his field was always considered. For some time, PP disappeared from the eyes of the public to complete his education, which was a decision that very few of his age would take. Just as when his followers thought that he would quit for good, he approached and was eventually, taken in by HS.
Obviously a threat to the current media personalities at HS when he arrived, PP did not take advantage of the situation, and instead, focused on the assignments given to him. Slowly, he was started to be noticed again, not just for his looks, but also for the quality his projects reflected. In a few years, PP was making his mark at HS and the arena was wide for him to conquer.
Nonetheless, being true to his heart, PP quietly decided to take things easy, which meant giving up most of his responsibilities at HS. When news leaked out that PP was starting to move towards what he wanted to do, offers coming from Rival Network (RN), Other Station (OS), and Latest Network (LN). While most of his colleagues transferred to OS and LN, RN was the most persistent in giving offers to PP to move to their side.
Initially, RN presented a lucrative offer that was almost three times as what PP used to get. However, PP turned down the proposal, as he wanted to remain loyal to HS. Ironically, the critics of HS have branded the station as lacking in objectivity. By contrast, RN has established a more objective reputation. Even if PP has turned down the initial offer, RN is not stopping in its pursuit of PP to return to them. Other than the high fee, RN has offered various programs for PP. While RN is not known for wooing talents to their side, PP is special. With PP on the side of RN, their credibility as a leading public affairs station would be boosted.
Given the package, PP might find it hard to resist the offer of RN. However, nothing is definite until he affixes his signature on the dotted line. Nonetheless, such matter might have to wait, as PP is rumored to be eyed by a multi-awarded filmmaker to star in his project.
