Your Deception Has Been Busted
The problem with being famous is that fans tend to be overprotective of every action of their idol that is criticized. Corollary to this notion is that fame also brings in bashers, who seem never to run out of negative reactions they post on the social media sites of their celebrity-victim. Thus, fans will react and respond to the bashers. The gutsier bashers would then react some more and the cycle continues until someone stops. Thus, celebrities have to be careful in their dealings with fellow talents, so as not to provoke fans and bashers alike.
When Talented Discovery (TD) was invited to join an event headed by Young Performer (YP), the idea was to generate interest among their individual fans. Their social media accounts reflect that they have respectable numbers of fans and followers. Hence, if their fans find chemistry, the fame of TD and YP would even be greater. They could even form a new partnership or better yet, a budding loveteam.
Given that both TD and YP work for the same station, combining them in production numbers was easy. The handlers of YP saw an opportunity to materialize their plan slowly. After a number, a photo op between TD and YP was requested. The pose was quite clean and really looked staged. Thus, they were requested to do a ‘sweeter’ pose. At that point, TD moved back, as she was shocked at the request.
Politely, TD responded that she would not do a sweeter pose with YP because she realized the consequences. Had a sweeter photo materialized, TD knew she would be part of the open season of bashers. First, followers of YP will react and the protective ones will definitely comment negatively and even accuse TD of using him to be famous. Second, since the time she was introduced to the public, her management has matched her with Cutie Newbie (CN). Over time, TD and CN have generated a following. Therefore, if their fans see her posing sweetly with YP, TD would bear the brunt of their accusations that she’s a user.
However, there seems to be much more than merely finding chemistry between the two. Although YP is talented, rumors of his sexual preference refuse to die down. Regardless of the number of times the issue has been dismissed, it still crops up. To cover up this rumor, the handlers allegedly thought that partnering YP with a female talent, such as TD, could finally kill this rumor. Unfortunately, TD is not willing to play their game.
