Moreover, the househelp lives in the same house, and thus, they are able to experience the true character of the celebrities they serve. While, a risk in hiring househelp is that they might talk about what they see in the household, their presence is still much valued. Besides, if celebrities treat their staff well, then they do not have to worry about their home secrets being leaked by disgruntled staff.
For celebrity parents, a very special household member is the nanny, especially if the parents opt to continue their career. Someone responsible has to attend to their child or children particularly if the kids are still toddlers who would need close supervision. It might be awkward for a fully made up celebrity trying to catch her son or daughter running around. Moreover, the celebrity parent can focus on his/her project with knowledge that someone responsible is taking care of his/her child.
However, treating the househelp becomes a big deal particularly when celebrity parents observe that helpers should be treated differently. One time, Attractive Parent (AP) was dining at a restaurant with presently Lying-low Kin (LK). Her cute child and the nanny were with them. AP wanted to make sure that she treats her nanny well, and thus, she ordered good food for the woman. When LK saw what AP did, she immediately gave her a piece of her mind and insisted that AP should not do that for the nanny. LK said that AP should just order spaghetti for the nanny so that the woman would not be used to partaking of substantial food when dining out with them.
AP did not agree with the logic of LK because she wanted to make sure that the one taking care of her child would be properly nourished and well treated. The nanny needs as much energy because the child is at a stage of exploring the surroundings actively. However, AP did not want to bear the ire of LK, and had to obey. The nanny was served what LK said she should eat. Unfortunately, despite having been raised in a different environment, AP has to now live within the terms of LK’s home rules for the sake of keeping harmony and avoiding potential conflict within the family structure.
