A Just and Excellent Decision

In the past months, a number of celebrities indicated that their popularity could indeed translate into revenue for the products they endorse. For example, supermarkets ran out of certain ice cream flavors endorsed by a famous couple, stores were unable to respond to the demand for cologne named after a celebrity, and even food went by the name of the endorser rather than the actual name of the product.
In the past election campaign, several parties of interest thought of capitalizing on the popularity of celebrities to attract voters for candidates. When the public was bombarded with familiar faces supporting candidates, such spectacle was met with raised eyebrows. The overwhelming number of celebrities in various ads gave rise to questions on their talent fee rather than on the qualifications of candidates they were endorsing.
While several celebrities were involved in endorsing candidates, the public noticed that not all popular stars endorsed candidates. For some celebrities, their management team immediately issued notice that the talents were not going to endorse any candidate. Thus, when malicious netizens made memes showing that certain celebrities were endorsing particular candidates, handlers and managers were quick to deny the veracity of such online posts.
Unknown to many, Young Singer Actor (YS) was offered an eight-digit figure to endorse a Particular Candidate (PC). The offer of the camp of PC was no joke, as YS could use the amount to sustain his passions and to purchase anything he wants. The amount could assure him of financial security even if his fans wane their interest. YS could even use the money for his future family, as he seems quite happy with his personal affairs.
However, all these possibilities will never happen. YS turned down the offer. His excuse was that he did not want to be like a contemporary who received many criticisms for endorsing a candidate. Thus, YS was admired for his decision because he did not allow quick money to get into his system. Besides, he must have realized the risk of endorsing given that there is no telling of what could happen to his career if he endorses a losing candidate.
‘The professional has learned that success, like happiness, comes as a by-product of work. The professional concentrates on the work and allows rewards to come or not come, whatever they like.” ― Steven Pressfield,
