Stories about the grumpiness of Proud Performer are nothing new. Ever since she started her career, she has been the subject of persistent rumors that target on the negative aspect of her personality that affects her fellow workers, especially the staff and crew of the production she works with.
However, PP seems to have Lady Luck smiling at her. She has found herself immersed in so much work in her network, which is quite a blessing for someone like her. The network has much faith in her that she was given the lead role in a series. Instead of recognizing the blessing as a way to pay it forward to the lower ranks, PP does not care at all. As the lead actress, PP feels that she could make demands and reprimand anyone who makes a mistake.
One time, the production was unable to call her on time while she was taking a break, and thus, she arrived late at the set. This incident made her snap, and the poor person who was assigned to call her got a mouthful. I guess she is not different from Someone Close SC to her. In another incident, a staff made a mistake in washing a piece of clothing that SC was still going to be used in the next taping day for continuity purposes. The next day, when SC found out, she went ballistic and told the staff not to show up until the piece of clothing was dry.
Well, expect more incidents of PP throwing her weight around and behaving more than a diva like SC. After all, she believed that her last event was so successful and the almost full capacity of the venue indicated to her and her followers the success of the event.
Unfortunately, the story behind the audience is quite pathetic. While some press people insisted that 85% had been sold a few weeks before her event, another story says otherwise. Allegedly, only 15% of the tickets were actually sold. The high number of attendees was the result of giving away tickets for nothing. A sponsor, who was supposed to give away a ticket for every product purchase, just gave away its ticket quota without any purchase.
As her career progresses, a change of heart towards humility might be difficult to see in PP. Nonetheless, unless she could really prove that she is a worthy talent of the network, PP should remember that the station has the power to cut her projects and exposure if her attitude becomes too much to handle.
There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self-respect. 'Bad pride' is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance. – John C. Maxwell
