The boyish looks of Insatiable Hunk (IH) can be deceiving. While IH has been in the business for a time, he has been playing supporting roles, while most of his peers have already moved on to tackling and taking the lead in more demanding roles. It’s not that he lacks talent in acting, performing, or even looks. He even joined the trend of having a well-toned body, which places him within the ranks of the hunks of the network. Sadly, despite his assets, reality says he does not have a strong following. IH just does not have that mass appeal.

The career of IH has reached highs and lows when it comes to his love life. Early on, he got the brunt of someone’s parent, but he never spoke of this incident, which eventually made him break whatever relationship he had with the then naïve talented performer. Then, IH was linked to Daring Actress (DA), and they did look as though they were going to last forever.

Well, the boyish looks of IH do not hide the story that he can be very demanding in the bedroom. Allegedly, IH has such a strong urge that is a way a bit above normal. Stories have it that DA broke up with him because she could not handle the size of his urges physically. He’s just too well endowed and she could not take it anymore down there. Moreover, he wants it quite often. Besides, with a busy career, DA does not have as much time to please IH.

With such prowess, will IH be able to find a woman who can answer to this need?

Boy Abunda: 'Gay' Comment of Terrence Romeo's Father Hurtful, Unfair

“I respect you, but I don't respect your opinion.”

Thus said Boy Abunda in response to the statement of William Romeo, the father PBA player Terrence Romeo, regarding his son's rumored relationship with comedian Vice Ganda.

In an interview with sports news website Spin.ph, Romeo defended Terrence over reports linking his son to the ABS-CBN actor.

“Si Terrence talagang tinuturuan ko yan ng katuturan. So kung totoo man 'yang istorya na 'yan, sinuway niya ko. Dahil hindi naman lahat ng oras nakasama ko siya,” he said. “Pero si Terrence, kumpleto ng aral sa akin 'yan. Pinaiiwas ko siya sa mga bagay na hindi mabuti.”

Terrence also denied the rumored relationship with Vice and even quoted as to saying, “Sana matapos na 'yung isyu na 'yan, dahil paulit ulit lang naman na hindi katotohanan! Isang multo yan ng imahe ko na gusto ko nang mabura totally.”

In an episode of “The Buzz” on Sunday, Abunda, who is one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN showbiz talk show, said the statement of Terrence's father was hurtful and unfair.

“Nung iyong sinabi na pinalaki mo ang iyong anak para lumayo doon sa hindi mabuti. If that was in reference—yung 'hindi mabuti'—to gays, kayo po ay nagkakamali,” Abunda said. “Hindi po tantamount, hindi po equivalent ang hindi pagiging mabuti sa pagiging bakla. Dahil that's not fair, that's totally unfair at nakakasakit po yan sa akin.”

He added, “Sana po, ingat-ingat sa ating pananalita, dahil sobrang aping-api na po ang mga bakla, ang mga tomboy, ang mga transgendered people dito sa Pilipinas.”

Abunda said the National Basketball Association has learned to be gender-sensitive, citing the cases of openly gay player Jason Collins and cager Roy Hibbert, who was fined $75,000 last year for using the phrase “no homo” in a press conference last year.

“Yun po ang aking pangarap, na pagdating sa Pilipinas ay matuto po tayong gumalang sa isa't isa,” he said.

The statement of Terrence and his father William came following speculations that the GlobalPort Batang Pier cager had a relationship with Vice, who recently admitted he broke up with his boyfriend who he never identified.

Not a Joyful Break for Her Career

Much was expected when the network granted Dainty Talent (DT) a starring role in an afternoon soap. DT is being groomed to take a major position among the young talents of the network. However, the high hopes turned into disappointment. Despite coming from a controversy-laden background, DT failed to generate as much interest in her latest project for her home network contrary to the press release that has been circulating. The low ratings of the show and the inability of DT to connect with the masses were the possible reasons for the inevitable end of her soap.

Apparently, the maneuvering of a close relative for her soap to trend in social media did not work. Rumors have it that this relative paid fans to keep the soap trending. Regardless of the external factor, the upper management of the network has labeled the acting of DT as very blunt. In other words, they are not happy with the acting skills of DT. So far, only a few have succeeded in establishing a career despite poor acting skills, and DT might not be one of them.

Coincidentally, Secretive Actress (SA) of the same network was given the same verdict for her acting skills. All the projects of SA failed to generate interest from the viewing public, which translated to low ratings. Thus, SA is on hiatus now.

Will the end of the soap of DT be her wake-up call that popularity at these times needs more than just a pretty face, a controversial background, and over supportive relatives? Will DT suffer the same fate as SA once her soap ends? Of course, the most important question centers on whether the network is keen on building the career of DT as the station already has several bankable and more talented stars under its wings.
