Last month, Queneerich left for Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China to attend the pre-pageant activities for the Miss World beauty pageant. She competed in various fast track events, a tradition that evaluates how well-rounded the candidates are. She proved to be a strong contender, having been shortlisted for Beach Fashion and Top Model events. Queneerich also emerged in the Top Five candidates in the Talent competition. One more award remaining - the Multimedia Award - a new addition to a a number of awards in place. True love and marriage can transform any man into an ideal husband and father. That of a competent host turned actor (HA) is one. Prior to settling down with a popular actress (PA), HA was dating a non-showbiz girl (NS) from the telecoms industry. HA and NS were friends with benefits for a number of years even when HA was already dating PA and still up to a few months before their much-talked about wedding. HA and NS have a long history that dates back to their school days. When HA drove to NS' workplace, he would be very discreet in his car with windows rolled up, as he did not want to call attention to himself.

HA and NS would spend nights/mornings together regularly. Apparently, HA had a high appetite such that they would meet twice or thrice a week. After he got married, HA saw less of NS. Soon after, NS got hitched herself. However, weeks before her wedding, NS and HA agreed to a final meeting, for that one last time, so to speak.

At present, HA and PA savor the ideal couple image the public has of them. Even at her peak, PA took time off from her career to get settled in her marriage and raised their kids. Of late, she has also become more particular with the kind of work that she accepts. HA, meanwhile, belongs to the rare breed of talents who can freely move from one network to another without strings attached. He is also such a considerate man that he put his acting career on hold to give way to PA’s movie set for showing at the end of the year.

It seems that HA and PA are a good match. Undeniably, as some observers claimed, HA has helped put some "class" in PA's image. And just how it concludes in romantic love stories:  "May they live happily ever after."

Television hosts put in their best positive side while they are on camera, and the most competent can never be caught unawares. Thus, how they really are behind the camera is a puzzle to the watching public. For example, Irritating Host (IH) projects a sweet and caring persona. Her looks gives that refreshing and credible image, which makes her an in ideal host for most events. However, IH has a dark side that only people working behind the scenes can be privy to. The crew has first-hand experiences how IH does not mince words when she is not happy with the people involved in the show like the makeup artist and hair stylist. She doesn't hesitate to scream at anyone regardless of age and status. She even corrects them needlessly. IH imposes herself on people as if she were the network's top honcho.

Given her negative character, no personal assistant had lasted long enough with IH. People could not figure out her mood swings. She can be irritable, angry, and commanding, which make working with her really difficult. While some may attribute this attitude to her present condition, but apparently, she has always been behaving like that even before.

During her past long-term relationship, IH and her man (HM) were very serious such that they allegedly even bought a house for the both of them. The same house is where IH now lives with her husband, who is not HM. HM probably just decided to give the house fully to IH after their break up.

Some people claim that IH, other than being a good host, is also quite a smart girl. She made it a point to maintain friendship with HM even after their split, because IH knows that being friends with HM assures her of work as well.

Now that IH is on leave and there is no news of any future shows when she comes back, the people she did not treat well are heaving big sighs of relief. For they no longer have to deal with someone who feels and behaves like a queen from nowhere while treating them shabbily as her paid royal help.

Are Men In Alarming Shortage?

Gone are the days when television news personalities were just simple and hardworking men and women who were quietly and competently doing their jobs. Hardly did they command attention to themselves. If they were ever talked about, it was often work-related and nothing more.

But now, as we watch them at work on television, there’s no denying that today’s generation of news/media people are a big improvement of what it used to be decades ago. Well, I am referring to their over-all physical appearance or “looks.”

Today's men and women reporters take their physical appearance seriously, the way some showbiz stars do, or perhaps even more. After all, in terms of physical attributes and appeal, some of these underrated reporters can give showbiz wannabe's a run for their money. And why not, they too, have nice bodies and pretty faces. And lest anyone forgets, most of them have big following, or fans for that matter. It is no surprise therefore, when you hear them being talked about too, just like their more popular showbiz counterparts.

One of these is a boyish-looking male reporter (BR) who has quite a huge following from girls and gays alike. BR is not just a typical pretty face but is a smart one, too. He used to be in a long-term relationship with a celebrity and were already talking of marriage. Then everything just fizzled out, next thing was, they've called it quits.

But how true are rumors that BR is often seen with a hot male reporter (HR) from another network? Witnesses said they couldn't believe their eyes when they sighted BR and HR inside a cinema in a mall near their respective stations. Both were seated so close together and appeared too sweet for comfort. Their demeanor inside the cinema belied that they were “just friends” having fun after a hard day’s work. In this day and age, is anyone still safe from getting bitten by the gay bug?

BR and HR - are two hot men. Not two cute gays...hopefully.

You Can't Keep Lying and Not Get Enemies

Model turned actor (MA) began getting big breaks ever since he was paired opposite a popular young actress (YA) in a teleserye. MA's pretty face complimented YA's cute and innocent look. The strength of their screen chemistry helped propel the soap's popularity, thereby creating collective fans for YA and MA that grew fast in numbers. There was no denying that MA benefited a lot in his team up with popular YA. Thus, it didn't take long before MA began having a solid fan base and soon after, he was getting projects left and right. MA capitalized on his fame every chance he got, especially on tv guestings, where he would also showcase his other talents like singing and playing musical instruments.

 
MA probably couldn't contain the excitement of his new-found stature, such that he even made it known to the public his crush and affection towards YA. On the other hand, some observers and some of YA's fans were getting turned off with MA's posturings towards YA. They accused MA of overdoing things and resorting to gimmickry to his advantage and at the expense of YA, who the fans felt he was merely using. But of course, MA can only repeatedly deny all these. That's why, perhaps feeling tired of all the accusations hurled at him, MA tries his best lately to avoid being talked about and linked to YA anymore.

One day, at a taping for a show where he was one of the guests to promote his latest movie co-starring him with other actors, MA's handler briefed the show's writer that MA should not be asked questions about YA. The writer thus relayed the message to the show's host SH, to which SH asked why. When told that it's because MA doesn't want to be accused yet again that he's using YA and that he only became popular because of her. SH was pissed and retorted, "Well, that's the truth, he can not deny that. Excuse me, can he please get real?"

As a result, all throughout the show, SH's interview with MA were all about YA and another actress (AA) whom he was previously linked to. And MA's reaction? Well, he had no choice but to just grin and bear it.

Sometime ago, character actor (CA) was spotted having dinner with some non-showbiz people somewhere east of Manila. However, his congenial wife (CW) was not part of the group. Onlookers wondered why CW was not in the vicinity considering that all their showbiz lives, they were always together except when CA had to go abroad to broaden his other career. CA and CW began their relationship at a very young age. They were never linked to anyone else, and eventually got married a few years ago. Theirs was a picture of a happy family, and the envy of many. The personality of CW is the total opposite of the characters she portrays in her soaps.

To the surprise of onlookers, CA was chummy with one of the women with him. Then, someone overheard a conversation between that young woman and another in the ladies’ room. The conversation implied that the woman and CA were together. They met in their village and grew fond of each other. After a few minutes, the entourage of CA left the restaurant. However, CA and the young woman were noticeably walking far from each other so as not to arouse any suspicion from onlookers.

How can CA engage in “an affair” while CW is working very hard in her multiple shows in several networks? Will CA wake up soon and realize that this affair can ruin his family? If CW catches CA, will she channel one of her mean personalities in their confrontation?

Flabbergasted Performer

Not so visible performer (NV) got a surprising request from an elderly person during a successful movie screening held a few days ago. 

Movie personalities and ordinary people graced the occasion. The venue was full, and the people behind the movie were happy with the crowd turnout. At one point, NV had to leave her chair to go to the ladies’ room. When she got back, an elderly woman approached her and asked if she can have a picture. Although NV is not that visible nowadays, she did command a huge number of followers at the height of her career.

Ever gracious as she is to her fans, NV smiled and agreed to the request of the elderly woman. As NV prepared to pose, the elderly woman handed her a camera. Then the elderly woman posed with another actress. So as not to be embarrassed, NV took the picture but her face gave a puzzled look. Perhaps, NV thought the incident was for a gag show, but this time, no one came to tell her it was a joke.

Host Has Separate Off-Cam Persona

Controversial TV host's CTH demeanor on and off camera has always been described as a point to point disparity between North and South. From any observer's eyes, there's always that big difference too obvious to ignore.

On camera, CTH is seen as the epitome of a knight in shining armor before his adoring fans, many of whom come from far away places just to watch his show. He is and has always been accommodating to them whenever they would visit in the studio. They are allowed physical access to him anytime, only and especially when the lights are on and cameras start to grind.

But off camera, no one is surprised anymore, especially his staff when CTH turns into a totally different persona.

When the public can see him, he scolds the security/bouncer if they prevent fans from coming near him. In reality, even among his staff, no one is allowed even within the vicinity leading to his dressing room, unless there's prior permission.

One time, a staff was hurrying up for something and had to run and mistakenly passed by the corrridor leading to CTH's private area. CTH got irritated and mad at the "intruder." As expected, the person was immediately called and reprimanded. But not after the barrage of expletives thrown at her. The newly hired girl, too shocked to even realize what hit her, was stunned and cried as a last resort.

For CTH's Staff: Remember the quote, " There are no tyrants where there are no slaves." Should third degree brutality at work be always part of the package that you have to endure on a daily basis? At what price is dignity?
