What's eating Solenn Heussaff? Last night she blasted on twitter accusing the PR of the very brand she endorses as the one behind the account of @dudeinterrupted without much evidence or reason to speak of.

Is this because of the rumors that the PR refused to include Solenn in the ALL STARS Hollywood campaign? It is well-known fact that Solenn kept on complaining that she is no longer utilized as an endorser after being replaced by Leighton Meester. Is this her beef against the PR known to have started the trend of signing up Hollywood stars in her campaigns?

A Voice In Need

The lure of show business can be deceiving. One moment, the projects can be overwhelming and the next, there might be none. This young discovery (YD) is now in a quandary as to what is happening to his career. YD is a product of a network’s search for talents to beef up its pool years ago. YD was one of those performers lucky enough to be given the break before the trend of reality shows. In other words, he did not have to enter any house to have his luck and popularity tested. He had talent and a pleasant attitude, and the bosses saw his potential.

YD got his break by acting with the popular young love team of the network. His boyish looks that compliments his cute smile landed him  some tv commercial projects, out-of-town appearances, indie and mainstream movies, stage plays, etc. In fact, he even won in a dancing contest. However, the network did not build him up to be the lead actor. Instead, he was cast in supporting roles. However, that was enough because YD was able to provide a comfortable life for his family. It became too cozy that he bought a house and financed the education of his younger siblings. A family member even gave up his professional career to be the driver of YD.

Things were looking great until YD realized that his last soap already ended half a year ago and his group was no longer called to appear in a weekly show of the network. His lack of projects was jeopardizing the comfortable life of his family that they got used to. YD had to humble himself and "took the bitter pill." He went to the pad of a network executive (NE) and asked if he could be given a project. YD even said he was willing to do anything asked of him. Other pals of NE who were present at that time were surprised at YD's last statement. For it sounded really desperate. NE replied that he would call YD as he was still finalizing the line up of the next soap.

This story is ordinary for people in showbusiness. Unless one is extraordinarily talented or very well-connected connected, no one is indispensable. On the part of the network, its energies seem to be bent on developing the careers of their discoveries from their reality shows more than their homegrown talent search a few years ago. If YD can build a reliable fan base and sustain their interest, then there is no reason why he should not have as many projects. But for now, he might have to rethink his options  to make sure he is not overlooked.

The latest is that YD is now part of two soaps, and was even featured in a magazine. On top of these, YD also decided to resume his education. Has YD finally learned his lesson? Did the visit to NE do the trick? People think that being responsible and diligent that he is, YD shouldn't be lacking in projects.

Again, Just Look But No Cameras, Please

While both are single, this couple has been spotted together several times. For each time they were asked, they both denied something more than friendship was happening. Male Actor (MA) has always projected a very wholesome image, and his network and publicists have managed to fend off any negative story about his alcohol problems. Meanwhile, Female Actress (FA) was the child star who grew up in front of the camera. Despite being in her mid-20s and having done a few daring roles, she still cannot shrug off her baby-face image.

MA and FA were just spotted at the arrival area of the airport with two gay assistants. MA and FA just came back from Hong Kong via Philippine Airlines flight PR 311. While boarding, MA and FA behaved like a sweet couple. However, their behavior changed at the arrival area. While some onlookers knew who they were, MA and FA were seen trying very hard to avoid each other. It seems that they did not want any unauthorized picture showing both of them together.

This behavior seems to be odd. Since both MA and FA are single and neither is tied to a permanent love team, why should they mind being seen together? At this point in their careers, the fans would be happy to learn of a confirmation that they are indeed more than friends.

Actor Gets Odd Request

Upcoming actor (UA) was shocked when a family member (FM) of his screen partner (SP) approached him and led him to the corner of the dressing room. UA thought that FM would reprimand him for a wrongdoing. FM has already gained notoriety among the production people of SP’s network for being too pushy. FM, based on reports, behaves as if she were the major star of the network. Hence, UA was pale and had no idea what FM was going to do. 

Turned out, FM reiterated to UA not to abandon his loveteam with SP. FM advised him that he should always be seen with SP no matter what. The people who overheard FM could not help but smirked as everyone knew SP has a boyfriend (BF). BF is also a talent of the network and has powerful connections in the industry.

UA is being built up as the next drama prince of the network. In fact, he is already being compared with a charming drama actor of the rival station. Although he did not pass the reality talent shows he auditioned for before, UA got noticed and was given a break in an acclaimed movie of the film outfit of the network. 

His boyish features can be deceiving because more than his looks, UA has the talent to make it in the business, which, the winners of the reality searches he joined do not have. The latest news is that UA already agreed to show more skin in an upcoming major fashion event. He does have the abs to show for it, after all.

The network of Closeted Actor (CA) is building him up as a prime leading man, but his behavior runs contrary to this image. While the other young hunks of the network are beset with rumors of being brawl-savvy or playboys, CA has always been bugged by talks of his other persuasion. Doubts on his sexual preference have long existed years before his formal entry in showbiz.

One story is that CA had a thing going on with a flight attendant (FA) when he was just starting out in the business. CA met FA in one of the acting workshops sponsored by his network. So they hit it off. When they started dating, CA was resolute in keeping up with his straight image.

Then, the network deemed it was time for CA to have a screen partner and tapped an upcoming actress (UA) for him. Although UA had the looks, the talent, and the fan base, the network still built her career around her partnership with CA. The physical features of CA and UA complemented each other, and the network saw the successful chemistry of the two.

Meanwhile, just like that in a tragic story, CA and FA parted ways. FA sensed something was wrong and felt relieved with the split up. FA was quite uncomfortable dating someone stuck in a closet.

Nonetheless, CA continued to date other men at the risk of ruining the image his network has invested in him. UA (who might have had a strong gaydar) sensed CA has his “other life.” Hence, no matter how much pressure the fans or the network put on them, it was just impossible for CA and UA to fall in love for real, thus, the end of their love team was inevitable.

The network saw the potential of UA to be paired with other actors. Her movie with a hunk actor did well at the box office, and showed that she could have a career without being tied to a constant screen partner. 

As for CA, he is being rumored to be courting another upcoming young actress (YA). People who know of CA cannot help but think of this new story as another publicity stunt to cover up the truth behind his real persona.

Failing to Catch The Manager

Businesswoman turned talent manager (BW) volunteered to take care of the surprise party being prepared by a major publication for one of her talents (HT). Naturally, certain expectations will arise when someone volunteers for an event like this. The publication was going to honor HT for winning in a big contest it sponsored. The venue had to be as big as the prestige of the award. After all, this winning was not the first recognition for HT. Any accolade won by a talent usually reflects the kind of handling a manager does. In this case, BW was not going to scrimp for HT. BW confidently chose an expensive restaurant for the party.

When the guests came, BW was there and welcomed them. She invited the guests to partake of the food and drinks, and everyone was happy with the accommodation shown by BW. But when the time came for bill payment, BW was nowhere to be found. To their regret, they found out that BW left ahead. Did BW leave early so she would not be egged on to share in the bill even if the party was for her talent  anyway? BW is not known to be a miser but she sure is a very astute businesswoman.

Sometime ago, media personality (MP) was dispatched to cover a tragedy in a province. A prominent public official (PO) of the region apparently got smitten with MP that PO started giving him the exclusives. PO accompanied MP to far-flung places in his region that were hit hardest by the calamity. While other media personnel were holed up in electricity-less hotels, PO invited MP and his crew to his residence. Throughout the coverage, the staff and media from other networks noticed that PO was becoming fond of MP. Other than providing comfortable dwellings, PO also made sure food was delivered to MP and his crew. During their stay at the residence of PO, MP and PO would stay up late talking. Some staff who witnessed the nightly talks said that it lasted until early morning. After the grueling coverage, MP was granted a week’s vacation by his network. But instead of spending his vacation elsewhere, MP returned to the residence of PO.

Nothing would have been noticed except that when MP returned to work after a week, his co-workers noticed he had new gadgets like a laptop, a camera, and clothes. Naturally, rumours  spread quickly. The story alleged that MP and PO had an affair and that the new stuff were given by PO. Furthermore, PO came over to Manila and took MP shopping. The newsroom could not risk such rumors that can ruin the credibility of the network. MP returned the gifts, except for the clothes. However, the department conducted its investigation. Consequently, MP was suspended for two months for the alleged misbehavior. When PO learned of the what happened to MP, he called a powerful female executive (FE) of the network. Soon after, MP's suspension period was shortened, thus overturning the decision of the head of the department (HD).

The story of MP did not end there. After the PO incident, FE ordered that MP would be the one to cover all the activities related to her office. Soon, people began to notice the extra closeness between FE and MP. MP was always around FE's out-of-town coverages and events. While in a province, people saw them come out of a hotel room together, which fueled tonques wagging. FE even asked HD to take it easy on MP. (HD has since left the network and if the interference of the management in disciplining one of its employees is connected to HD’s resignation, people can only speculate.) Since that time, MP seemed to be “untouchable” in the department. Stories about alleged trysts between PO and MP are talked about in hush-hush. MP would be seen allegedly leaving the house of PO early in the morning. Some stories are also circulating, such as MP allegedly receiving certain freebies, such as  the use of vehicle granted only to senior members and a sizable allowance coming from the office of FE.

Most often, the media make good stories, but sometimes, they can be more interesting stories themselves.

To be trusted is a great privilege, says a quote. For some people, trust is sacred. To others, it is something that can be easily and constantly broken.

It is common knowledge that it is never easy to find people in showbiz whom you can really trust, whether about life in general, or money in particular.

A young and pretty actress PA is getting the flak from her co-workers for her not-so-good reputation. Among others, she has this habit of borrowing money from her co-workers and also buying stuff like gadgets and bags on installment basis, then fails to pay on time. PA once bought, again on installment, a few cellfone gadgets from a dancer, but to this day never got to pay for them. The dancer is now in trouble because she will have to pay for all those cellfone units she got from her supplier who is now running after her.

And not only that, PA is quite creative, too..or shall we say, shrewed (?) when it comes to "buying" designer bags. This happens whenever there are events that she has to attend to. She will get this bag from her seller, then use it for the event, have pictures taken with it, then return same bag to the seller and says she changed her mind and will no longer buy. Real clever, yeah? Your thoughts?

Who is PA? Is she so lacking of projects that she has to resort to this bad practice, leaving her poor victims helpless and defenseless?
