Unfortunately, Starting Talent (ST) miscalculated his move, and thus, lost his advantage within a few months. When ST showed the industry what he was capable of doing and making the audience moved by his acting, he won critical praises and many were in unison that he was the next big star. This notion apparently got into him deeply.
As soon as ST gained attention, his services were placed under contract, which made his new fans look forward to his growth in the industry. Sadly, his next project was a disappointment, as his presence was hardly felt. In other words, the role was already not that great, and still, he performed like a typical actor, that is, his presence was negligible.
When his mentors asked if he could do another project with them, ST initially agreed, but backed out after the preparations were done and the shoot was about to commence. Excuses were given left and right, which the mentors did not at all buy. As prime movers in the industry, these mentors knew the ins and outs of the industry more than ST. Breaking a commitment is almost as close to a death sentence in one’s career, especially, when people who have gained respect in the industry, like his mentors, have been crossed.
ST seemed to have forgotten humility and even had an increase in his pay. Allegedly, some of his colleagues noticed that he had acquired a snobbish attitude. Before, he used to be friendly with them, but recent encounters saw him cold toward them. A change in attitude, breaking of a commitment, and failing to deliver in the next project are stacked against ST. If he does not change his ways, surely, he might not win in this game, and senior personalities could only shake their head and dismiss ST as one of those who did not listen to them. Incidentally, his replacement is gaining praises for not minding being the second choice and promising to do better.
