Twitter War: Annabelle Rama + Ruffa Gutierrez vs. Paparazzi

Ruffa Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama started sending these angry tweets after the "Bulung-bulong" segment on Paparazzi.  Ruffa got upset when Mr. Fu asked her this question:

Mr. Fu: Ang choices ay may kinalaman sa tatlong lalaki.  Ang tatlong lalaking involved: A. Aga Mulach B. Zoren Legaspi and letter C. Robin Padilla. 

Mr. Fu: Pag tinanong kita dapat friends pa rin tayo ha, wag mo seseryosohin yung tanong, eto na. Choices: Aga, Zoren, Robin. Sino ang may pinakamalaking.........

Ruffa Gutierrez: Alam mo you are so gross. Wala akong alam dyan. Next question. Ewan ko, di ko sasagutin yan.

The cliché states that behind every successful man is a woman. In showbiz lingo, the saying takes a different turn, because truth be told: behind the success of an actor is a powerful gay executive or manager. In the case of this prized official (PO) of a network, most of the talents he handled got very good breaks. That was always a given. From a mere nobody, PO can transform any actor into the hottest talent in the industry. His latest and current "project" is an emerging talent (ET), who has appeared in the major series of the network. ET is definitely gaining more recognition than he did with his previous management.

A few weeks ago, a high level executive (HE) of said network fumed when she learned that PO was conspicuously absent in the network's story conferences. The presence of PO is very crucial in any  meetings because he handles all the major series/telenovelas of the network. Therefore his absence is definitely unwelcome, as he has to be on call to answer for all the major decision-making required. Besides, results of said meetings were to be presented in a big network event a few days after. Apparently, PO left the country without asking permission from his superiors. He joined ET in the Middle East for the network's promotional tour. PO had already been lined up ET in two major projects in the most coveted timeslots of the network.

Also, PO was not alone in the tour, as his close friend (CF), a former talent manager, joined him, too. Before PO got fatally attracted to ET, he was responsible for transforming a non-mainstream actor (NA) into a huge household name that he is today. PO now had to relegate NA because ET is younger, and well, not as “soft” as NA. Thus it was CF who took care of NA. What caught the ire of HE was her finding out that the room assignments had PO and ET in one room, while CF and NA were together in another room. It appeared as if the foursome where on a honeymoon.

HE can only express her disbelief that PO is turning out to be the personal assistant of ET. Unfortunately, HE can only get mad and disgusted, period. She can not really reprimand PO as much as she does her other subordinates. For PO is not considered as a “demi-goddess “ for the network’s soap operas for nothing. If PO leaves, the network's programming will definitely suffer in a big way. HE knew that this incident was not isolated, as it was not the first time that PO left his work to be with ET. The question is: until when will PO's fondness for ET last? The other talents who were previously handled by PO are no longer as popular as the time when PO had them under his loving care. These talents have grown old, lost their hunky appeal, and moved on. Perhaps, ET believes that it is but natural for him to take advantage of every opportunity that lands on his lap. For it is true that since it knocks but once, he might as well hit the ground running, and laugh all the way to the bank. Only and only, while he still savors the perks of being PO's current and favorite flavor.

Getting Ridiculed Publicly

A few days ago, a big event in a beauty contest was marred by an almost controversial walk out of the reigning beauty queen (RB). RB already had walked out, but was stopped by the head project holder (PH) of the event. PH convinced RB to stay on and finish her task.

The story is that RB, being the current local representative, was part of the board of judges for the afternoon’s event. Feeling her current reign, RB expected royal treatment from the organizers. So, she stayed in her room and waited for a call for her to come down to the venue. She kept waiting. There was no call. A few hours later, she decided to go down to the venue herself. The moment she was seen, one of the staff (OS) screamed at RB and gave a litany of her coming late. RB reasoned out that she was just waiting in her room expecting to be called but no one called for her. Furthermore, RB said that OS can talk to her nicely without being screaming at. OS was still fuming. RB, then moved to the judges were seated, OS screamed further and told RB that she could not judge anymore because there was no more seat for her..

RB, feeling so embarrassed at the way OS treated her, walked away and was so very upset that she almost cried. When PH learned that RB was walking out, she took the responsibility of talking to her. RB went back as though nothing happened. While RB kept her poise and silence of the situation, a family member leaked and ranted to the media what transpired.

From their research, OS allegedly was a former staff member of the other beauty contest, which was in direct competition with RB’s. Hence, some concluded that OS was mean to RB because of her former affiliation. Some commented that since RB knew that she was judging, then she should have had enough sense to come down earlier and not wait for a call (as she reasoned out). Remember, RB won in a contest of beauty, not a contest of minds.

Pleasuring His Lover

Their love story started out like a scene from a teenage movie. He was a well-sought after celebrity (AC) in his field, who has had his own share of intrigues despite not really part of show business. She was, a refreshing personality (RP), who rose to fame by doing the rounds of fantasy dramas. AC merely asked RP out publicly, and RP responded positively. From that first date, they became inseparable. Despite their busy schedules and sometimes, physical distance from each other, AC and RP managed to build a special relationship.

However, there was a very personal problem that cropped up in the course of their relationship. For males born in the Philippines, certain customs are followed for religious and medical reasons. Since AC was raised abroad, he was spared from the traditional practice, but RP felt uncomfortable with that idea. Hence, RP encouraged AC to undergo the procedure. She even went with him to the hospital when he had to go under the knife, so to speak. With modern laser technology, RP missed out the fun of wearing balloon skirts and staying still for some days until the wound completely healed. Within a few days, AC was back to his routine, while RP was happier that AC finally had it done.

Incidentally, one of the conditions RP set before any marriage plans with AC was that procedure. Well, AC was eager to please.

Behind that Photoshoot

A great achievement for any magazine is to have a memorable cover. A cover can boost or break the sales of a magazine. Some people will buy a magazine based on the cover but will get disappointed once they read what's inside the cover article. However, this particular magazine often walks its talk. Usually, the articles that go with the cover are extensive and well-written. So, when the magazine released its latest cover with the young stars of a particular talent management, people got interested and excited. Although these stars work in the same network, their schedules are difficult to synchronize to put them together in one place.

As expected, to gather big stars for work can lead to big attitudes. The photo shoot for this cover was no exception. First, hunk actor (HA1) was so in a hurry to finish the shoot reasoning out that he had prior commitments for the day. But it could also be more valid to think that he could have been uncomfortable with the presence of his two ex's around. Since this was his management’s photoshoot, the rumoured (ex?) partner was not present even though she can beat the popularity of all the stars combined on the cover.

Second, one of the actresses (OA) stayed in her corner and refused to mingle with the rest. Her partner in a love team was present in the shoot, but stories have it that OA and her TV partner are merely polite towards each other. Was OA avoiding any interaction with the former girlfriend (FG) of an actor? Yes, the same actor is the one OA allegedly had a fling with when they did a movie. Did blind items not give clues that FG caught OA and the actor in their rendezvous?

Third, another actress (AA) demanded another dress from the stylist because she felt the other actresses were wearing outfits that were more fab and stylish. To her disappointment, she was told that their outfits were already set. Did AA feel awkward because her ex and his current girlfriend (CG) were around? One look at the cover and indeed, AA was right in showing her insecurity over her assigned outfit. Well, she should have also questioned how she was positioned in the shoot.

Conspicuously absent in the cover was another hunk actor (HA2), who was once the favorite of the network. Does his absence mean he is no longer considered a big star of the network? Is this why he no longer appears in its primetime slot? A quick research shows that HA2's career is still under this management.

Nonetheless, a final look at the result of the beautiful cover shoot belies all the intrigues that happened before it. You think so, too?
