Letter from a Reader: 150 PhP for an Extra Paper Bag?

Dear Fashion PULIS,

Last Friday, my friend and I went shopping in this high end luxury store. We bought a few aromatherapy diffusers and scented candles to give as gifts to our friends. Our total purchases amounted to more than six thousand pesos.

When the items were handed to us, they were placed in four small paper bags. Since my friend and I had to carry other things, I asked the SA if we can have two bigger paper bags to put the smaller paper bags inside them.

I had the shock of my life when the SA told me that I have to pay 150 PhP for an extra paper bag. I told him that I am a regular customer and this is the first time that I heard this  policy. He told me that he needed to get the approval of his manger before he can give me the two paper bags for free.

My friends and I waited for more than twenty minutes for the SA to come back. A friend of mine who was with us became impatient so he asked for the manager. When the manger saw him, she immediately recognized him as a regular customer. She hurriedly looked for the SA and instructed him to give the paper bags.

Do you think it is right for a high end luxury store to charge 150 PhP for an extra paper despite the fact that we just spend more than six thousand pesos in the store? I would love to hear from the readers of Fashion PULIS.

Botox Virgin?

Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine that is injected into the muscles to increase stiffness. Most commonly used for cosmetic and medical procedures, it is popularly known by one of its trade names Botox, Dysport or Xeomin.

This model/television show host failed her first screen test for a fast food chain television commercial because she made a weird facial expression each time she put food in her mouth. The following day, she went back to the casting director and requested for another screen test.

The casting director initially refused to accommodate her request the second time around. He only gave in because he felt sorry for her after she told him that she had to go to a doctor to have Botox injected into her face. Unfortunately, she still did not get the role in spite of her desperate measures.

It all started when this actor visited her place to check out some of the items that she was selling to him. He became friends with her after he bought a few pieces from her collection. Somewhere along the way, he got attracted to her physically and visited her more often. 

Things have come a long way since the first time they met. This actor now regularly knocks on her door not to buy anything from her but to share intimate times with her. I just hope that the actor's girlfriend will not be banging on her door when she finds out about their secret rendezvous.

Although the counter offer of this network was nothing close to that of the rival station, her management decided to accept it after taking into account the relationship that the star has built with the said network.

During the signing of the new contract, the management of this star made a simple request to the network.
