Sabi nila, award daw to na nananalo by attendance (kaya ba walang malinaw na list of nominations?!!) at super late din ginawa this year kasi last year may issue dahil may namatay na kasama si First Lady.
Im from Cali and this concerns me as someone who has been active to advocate Fil movies to international platforms. Not all winners were there including Ashtine. Quality over quantity. You need to get over this kind of mentality.

Walang kredibilidad itong festival nato. Una ang boring at walang matinong istorya yung Manilas Finest. Pangalaws paano naging Best Actress si Ashtine eh kakaunti lang naman eksena nya dun sa movie at hindi naman tumatak mga eksena nya.
Try mo bilangin eksena nong ibang actresses don. Konti lang din eksena nong iba. At may bearing ang role niya kasi activist siya at anak ng main protagonist. Counterintuitive ang roles nila and don umikot ang istorya. Kaloka. Sanay kasi kayo sa mga loud acting.
Juries and academy voters look at the quality of the acting, not the quantity of screen time. A brief performance can win a "Best" category for several reasons.
Ganyan talaga ang juries sa international level. Examples: In 1998, Judi Dench won an Academy Award for Shakespeare in Love with only about eight minutes of screen time. Similarly, Beatrice Straight won for Network (1976) with just five minutes and two seconds on screen because her single confrontation scene was flawless.
So wala yan sa quantity of screen time but the acting QUALITY.

Correction she didn't even attend the ceremony,so why do you even insist na kaya lang nanalo because of the attendance e wala nga sya dun? And you're not even part of the jury to begin with so why would you opinion even matter? Also, why do you only question her win?
