When I first watched her sa Little Mermaid sa theater, I thought that she had potential. And that sana, if she wants to be in the entertainment business, at mahilig din naman kumanta at umarte, sa isip ko sana dun nalang sya sa teatro mas mag-focus. Yung medyo lumihis sya ng konti sa career path and not exactly follow the same footsteps as her parents. Madalas kasi, lalo dito sa atin, kahit anong galing ng anak o kapatid o any relative, hindi maiiwasan na maco-compare sa predecessor nya, or mapag-isipan na na-earn mo ang mga bagay bagay dahil sa connection. Besides, the constant pressure will be a lot to carry talaga, especially sa case nya megastar status ang nanay and multi-awarded actor ang tatay. Historically, bihira talaga na maging same ang level of success. Tapos yung dating nya pa, ang sosyal, and her facial features are too strong to play roles na magiging relatable sa masa.

Kaila Estrada, while same drama genre din sya like her mom, her roles are far different from what her mom played back in the day. Mga Pangilinan offsprings, Paolo and Gab Valenciano had it difficult nung wala silang mapakita na kakaiba sa ginagawa na ng tatay nila, until Paolo found his niche in directing instead. Si Donnie, mas nag-click sa formulaic loveteam, pero short-lived din ang hype kasi nasa panahon din sya ng social media and reality shows na kung saan you need to be able to offer more than just being pogi and being a nepo baby. This holds true for KC as well. She dabbled into all sorts of things in showbiz pero wala masyadong naiwang marka except her controversial lovelife na may pa-tell all pa. KC Concepcion is undeniably an aral na talent…someone who has had the advantage of extensive training and investment, especially from her mega mother, who invested heavily in her music lessons. But even with that training, it’s hard to argue that her talent ever reached the level of truly gifted theater performers like Lea Salonga at a young age, or Rachel Ann Go and Isay Alvarez during their peak years.
Wala naman sinayang, hirap na hirap talaga siyang pasikatin. Ginawa na lahat ng abs, pati yung debut nya na pinagastusan pa ng bongga with live coverage pa. Every moves nya, talagang hyped ng abs. I think what damaged her career prospects sa ABS was her interview with Boy Abunda about her ex na todo iyak pa sya. Tinabangan ang network sa kanya kaya nawalan sya ng projects. After that kung ano ano na lang ang projects nya. What she lacks is charisma and having the right manager. If she had opted to do kontrabida roles instead of pa sweety roles, she would have might made it as a character actress. Then nawala sya sa limelight to focus on her business, but i don't know if she was successful in it. Throughout her showbiz career, she was trying to follow her mother's footsteps by singing her mom's songs. She should have stayed away from doing that. Sana pala nag try sya sa Hollywood nung kabataan nya.

Hindi man kasing sikat ng Ate Regine, hindi rin naman mediocre and may mga naging music achievements din sya. Si Daniel Padilla, mas sumipa ang career kesa sa mga magulang nya. DJ may not be the best actor you have, but surely, he was a much better chip off the old block than his parents. Mas maganda rin kasi naging pag-alaga ng management nya. Kaila Estrada, while same drama genre din sya like her mom, her roles are far different from what her mom played back in the day. Hindi sya nag-labteam and she was okay to portray kontrabida so meron din syang amount of success and critical recognition na natatanggap. Mga Pangilinan offsprings, Paolo and Gab Valenciano had it difficult nung wala silang mapakita na kakaiba sa ginagawa na ng tatay nila, until Paolo found his niche in directing instead. Si Donnie, mas nag-click sa formulaic loveteam, pero short-lived din ang hype kasi nasa panahon din sya ng social media and reality shows na kung saan you need to be able to offer more than just being pogi and being a nepo baby. This holds true for KC as well. She dabbled into all sorts of things in showbiz pero wala masyadong naiwang marka except her controversial lovelife na may pa-tell all pa. Baka she is meant to focus nalang on business, or maybe mag-produce nalang sya ng quality projects since she seems to have the money, the business acumen and the industry direly needs it. :)

The character of KC as BELLE, the lead actress has FEW SONGS in the movie and theater. Even they choose Sarah G. who undoubtedly has better voice beyond the pale, her as Belle DOES NOT suit her unlike KC who is a perfect fit for the role. Belle is French maid, demure, softer. Sarah will over power the rest of the characters who are building the Belle character who will change the Beast and the whole story. Or else Belle will sound like Gaston!

Like as great singer Arnel Pineda is, he does not fit as Axl Rose in Guns N Roses.

DeleteKC Concepcion is undeniably an aral na talent…someone who has had the advantage of extensive training and investment, especially from her mega mother, who invested heavily in her music lessons. But even with that training, it’s hard to argue that her talent ever reached the level of truly gifted theater performers like Lea Salonga at a young age, or Rachel Ann Go and Isay Alvarez during their peak years.

As an avid musical theater fan, kaya valid naman na hindi lahat magagalingan kay KC. Esang De Torres and Rachelle Ann Go are top-tier lead material for me. Leah is the GOAT.

DeleteShe’s not lead material for musical theater, IMO. Her performance was mediocre. Sa Pinas, dahil kilala siya, of course maraming magsasabi na may talent siya, pero for real theater enthusiasts, hindi talaga convincing.
Proper etiquette rin na may applause sa ending lol. Pero nakita mo ba yung reviews? So-so lang din for KC.
I think what damaged her career prospects sa ABS was her interview with Boy Abunda about her ex na todo iyak pa sya. Tinabangan ang network sa kanya kaya nawalan sya ng projects. After that kung ano ano na lang ang projects nya. What she lacks is charisma and having the right manager. If she had opted to do kontrabida roles instead of pa sweety roles, she would have might made it as a character actress. Then nawala sya sa limelight to focus on her business, but i don't know if she was successful in it. Throughout her showbiz career, she was trying to follow her mother's footsteps by singing her mom's songs. She should have stayed away from doing that. Sana pala nag try sya sa Hollywood nung kabataan nya.
