    2. Just because this is Wimbledon Centre Court, there is an unwritten etiquette for dress code. Sa ibang tournament very lax pagdating dress code, but most of the followers and spectators of tennis are really those who can afford. It's a lifestyle thing.

  2. Daming nakikisakay sa hype susmio. Swiatek is currently in slump and real tennis fans know that. She didn't even reach second week of Roland Garros a month ago, her favorite tournament. She also did not reach finals of any grass tournament prior to this. Not to diminish Alex's accomplishment pero mygolly, ni hindi nga naka-abot ng quarterfinals, tapos yung press coverage akala mo nanalo na ng Wimbledon. Susmaryosep, tigilan na kasi yung, hype. It's not helping her, promise. Give her space and time to grow, wag na bigyan ng unnecessary pressure. Nakakaloka kayo.

    1. But she was the defending champion and that made it so spectacular because Alex defeated her. Gets mo?

    2. Ikaw na te! Ikaw na true tennis fan.

    3. Susme. Tanong, bakit nagkaroon ng hype??? Kasi may galing! Pag may galing may hatak sa tao. Kaya mas ok ng may hype kesa wala!

    5. 11:05 if you're following the tour, anyone in the top 30 can basically beat Swiatek right now with her poor form, and even her Wimbledon win last year was really out of nowhere since grass is her worst surface. I've seen enough tennis in my life to say that Alex is (currently) not grand slam champion material. I don't think she can even win a WTA1000 title in her career, and that's fine because she can still have a very successful career by racking up 250s and 500s titles and consistently reaching latter stages of slams. But then again is Schiavone and Pennetta have done it, maybe Alex can too. She can prove me wrong.

    7. not to diminish but that’s exactly what you did. can we stop making excuses about Eala’s win. She is good and continuously improving that is why she won. not bec the opponent is not playing good. kakaasar mga gantong comments mga pinoy puro talangka!!!!

    8. DO NOT BELIEVE what 1:14 AM is saying. She’s garbage material. I’m older than her I think and watched Grand Slams live in stadium even before building Arthur Ashe stadium from the time of McEnroe and Connors, just right after Chris Evert then to Graf, Capriati, Sanchez, Seles, Hingis, William
      sisters, Sharapova, et al.
ALEX WILL WIN GRAND SLAMS. She’s actually has more weapon than the double handed lefty Seles (who was my favorite).
And yes 1:14 AM I played tennis myself. So STHU you pretentious one.

    9. 10:39 Susmaryosep ka si ate! I doubt na madali makarating (lalo na at Pinoy) sa kung ano man ang narating ni Alex kaya hype and natural lang naman yun. Anong gusto mo? Yabang yabang mo jusmiyo! Very talangka + very palaka

Some of us are still very proud of what she has achieved. Can you be hapoy for her and for us? Masaya ako kasi positive vibe ang dala nya in this time of war, calamities and negative effects of corruption!! Ang negative na ng mga Pinoy! Saan kayo galing bumalik nalang kayo doon.

  3. She's becoming more like Anna Kournikova :D :D :D

    1. Kournikova was actually very talented if not for her injuries and personal distractions. She reached Wimbledon semifinals at 16 years of age. Reach finals of Tier 1 events only to lose titles to Venus and Hingis. She retired almost the same age as Alex now.

      Delete
    2. Kournikova is talented FOR doubles. She can’t even beat Hingis in their peak.

  4. It doesn’t matter if she defeated the defending champ if you can’t be a winner or even in SF still useless. The problem with her she lacks stamina. She got the best game of her life and expect that the next round she gets demolished. You can’t say she’s young blah blah bcoz many young players like Mirra became a champ at 19. Though she’s really is promising. Stamina na lang and mentality kulang

    1. Consistency talaga yung weakness niya.

    2. not every champions won at early age. this is her 2nd year in the pro adult category and in span of a year she climbed from 140 to 25 and setting some records. So sit down and just enjoy her ride. if you’re not a fan go back to beauty con.

    3. 12:02 AM and 1:23 AM CRABBIES. Give Alex a freaking break will you?
GOATs FedEx, Nadal, Sampras, Agassi, Djokovic and others NEVER WON Grand Slam in their 2nd nor 3rd year some not even until later years of their ATP tour and yet they are now GOATs.
Alex has a lot of room for improvement and this is her ONLY 2nd WTA tour!
For heaven’s sake. Give the kid a break!

      Delete
    4. She can win 1 grand slam max. Will she be as good as Serena or other top tennis players? Absolutely not. The greatest players start winning at 18. She is 21 and will peak at 25.

    5. 8:44 PM Since when you know GOD’s Plan for Alex Who gave her life, talent, skills and sport??
That’s what millions of people thought about Messi and Cristiano few years back because they’re OFF peak of age. Look at them both, one knocking 40 still in the WC and 41 y/o CR7 elevated football game in 4 countries.
ONLY GOD KNOWS what will HE do to Alex. God gave us all sports to know Him and unite us all and not divide.
If you haven’t notice ALL GOATs of all sports were/are Catholics.
When did Pacquiao started his losing streak? When he left GOD’s Church. When did he win and became famous? When he was still Catholic.

    3. 6:30 It's up to Alex whether the fans motivate or demotivate her.

  7. Crabbies, sorry but Peter Parker speaks. I’ll take what friendly neighbor Spidey say about Alex not you.

Here we have a young talented woman na hindi babad sa social media or influencer. She's just starting her journey pero isang talo lang, ang lala ng mga comment sa kanya. I'm a parent and kung anak ko siya, ang sakit makabasa ng mga ganitong comment.

    1. Her hype is not because she’s talented it’s because the Filipino fans make so much noise and act classless. Alex encourages their behaviour.

      Delete

And why would it bother you if her fans make so much noise and act classless? Wag mo pakialaman trip ng iba to support the people they admire. Jusko.

      Delete
    4. 8:45 At kasalanan pa pala ni Alex. Mga wala bang sariling utak yung fans niya? They're just being fans!

  11. Ay naku ano ba magagawa natin eh hina hype. Gusto ba ni Alex yun. Sa totoo lang magaling sya it’s not all hype. If having a grandslam or championship defines you to be good by the way you experts judge alex eala so pano na lang yung mga nasa 30s nang WTA ranked players pero wala pa rin title? Di ba sila magaling? Muchova right now is a finalist sa Wimbledon. First time. 29 years old na. Doesn’t mean the aging untitled ranked WTA players are not as good compared to Andreeva, Coco, Raducanu etc who got their grandslam in their teens. Pana panahon din kasi. Wag atat. Gagaling nyo mag judge.

  12. Daming talangka. Magbilang kayo, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th round. Pag naman di umabot ng 1st round or 1st round talo aalipustahin nyo. It’s not even that nasa WTA top 30 rank sya. Kaya nyo yun? Pinaghirapan nya yun. Pang ilan kayo top 1M not even baka topsilog. Tataas ng tingin nyo sa sarili nyo.
