8:07 IS THAT A RECENTLY IMPLEMENTED POLICY? BEFORE THE WAR BROKE OUT, I WAS ALLOWED TO ENTER THE PLANE IN DUBAI GOING TO MADRID. MY VISA WAS ISSUED BY THE DUTCH EMBASSY.
1) For the VISA - what does matter is that your ACTUAL TRIP should still match the basis on which your visa was issued. If for example, France issued your visa but you never go to France - instead spend the trip elsewhere, you may be questioned. If Spain issued your visa, you can still enter Schengen thru France of Germany first, then continue to Spain. That is generally fine. It would seem like Enchong is going to Madrid using a France-issued visa - hence he was questioned by AirFrance. I dont think they threatened to revoke his VISA - because they cant. Maybe they warned him that his VISA can be revoked if he continues to Madrid. 2) AirFrance (or any airline) will be very careful if they believe a passenger can be refused entry at the border control. That is because the airline will have to bear the cost of taking the passenger back.
Ginawa namin iyan. So doble gastos.
I checked Enchong's IG. It seems he likes Spain. May post sya (photo in Spain) na he wants to learn Spanish in 2.5 years so yes, Spain ang final destination nya. There's more to the story na hindi natin alam.
So if business class I thought mas special ang passenger? 😅 Did he perhaps get a Schengen Visa issued by France but he will go to Spain instead (because Spain is stricter than France, and some people practice “visa shopping” to work around this situation)? Pero it doesn’t make sense if frequent traveler naman sya (I think he is, kasi artista naman sya and he has the capacity diba…)
1217 I had first-hand experience with how racist some of the FAs of Air France are. The way they talk to you, how dismissive they are to your needs etc at first you try to ignore because you’d think baka naman mali ako. BUT if repetitive na ang action (or inaction), ako pa ba mali? @2:12 i can tell insecure ka lang. Inunahan mo n sila na racist alam mo ba yun? Kasi ikaw pala ang racist. I’ve been using their airlines tagal na! Kilala ko na FA nila!!!! Basta act natural! Wag maging insecure racist!
Air France sucks! They lost my luggage in Paris and it took them 7 days to locate it. Had to buy new luggage, clothes, etc. while on vacation. They did not even pay me back. Do not fly with Air France!!!
12:34 insurance is useless. UA lost my luggage, filed a claim through the insurance. Walang nangyare. Kasi siguro UA found the luggage after a few days. But still, they should still have compensated.
Serious question: if luggage was found but it took a few days , wouldn't insurance at least compensate partially for those days when u had to spend to buy clothes etc during the days when luggage was still lost?.
I had insurance and we were able to claim when we got back from the trip but it was not enough to cover all the things I had to buy while my luggage went missing. More than the money, imagine the stress I had to endure! Instead of enjoying my 2 week vacation, it became so stressful waiting for news about my luggage. You don’t necessarily have to enter the issuing country first. You can have a Schengen Visa issued by France but you will enter the Schengen zone through Madrid, that’s fine, pero your longest stay in the Schengen should be the issuing country (in this case, France). It’s called delicadeza. #visashopping

Skip to 8. The French are not warm people, unlike other European nationalities.
At lalo yan feeling validated ang belief nilang yan kasi kapag andito sila, parang "starstruck" mga tao kung treat sila which is actually just our natural way of being hospitable.Well..Even towards the Americans these, French and British people exude superiority complex.
10:59 Not a belief but that's actually part of their culture and upbringing. And also, I read this from a French person perspective: "If everyone thinks we feel superior, maybe it's because they've seen for themselves that we are."
@3:54 That statement is classic hypocrisy. We see truth because we’re not blind. It’s a poor excuse to not change rude behavior because it’s “part of your upbringing.” It’s like saying, to be racist is part of my upbringing and if you think I am racist then maybe it’s because you are. That is why we are humans with intelligence, we are able to recognize and change.
1:19 totoo lol. may officemate kaming french dati. omg ung damit nya parang ilang araw na nyang suot, at parang pinangpasok na nya, pinangtulog at pinangpasok nya ulit. ang ganda ganda pa man din nya, pero may pagkadugyot lol
Omg same!! May classmate ako French here sa Japan sa language school. And sa dorm sya ng school nakatira. Imagine summer un tapos same jersey ung suot nya everyday? At Grabe sakit talaga sa ilong. And totoo na arrogant sila. Imagine nag apply sya part-time jobs in one month 4 lahat tig 1 or 2 days lang sya tumatagal. May hindi sya nakuha sa interview palang, pina refund Nya sa company yung transpo and time nya naloka ako! Inaway nya talaga haha
actually racist ang france in terms of schengen visa. mas malaki chance mo ma deny pag france. Bottomline racist talaga sila. they categorized visiting sa bansa nila
mahigpit yata sila dahil sa mataas over staying sa bansa nila most likely from south asia.
kung gusto nyo ma accept sa schengen visa go for greece and balkan countries tapos back packing ka na lang whole europe
I think it depends on your profile. I got my SV via france and they gave me a one year ME. May friends din ako who usually get via france kasi mas maluwag sila magbigay compared sa ibang EU countries.
Ask ko lang more than 3x talaga dapat mag EU in 2 years before ka mabgyan ng ME? Kc my son is going to study in EU this summer na. Imagine planning to apply ME but 3rd time k palang sakali.
Ha ha... looks like the pot is calling the kettle black :D :D :D Penoys are racists too ;) ;) ;) Just think of the names you made up for your AFAM friends :) :) :) There's nognog, bantot, hairy, etc... :D :D :D
people commenting racist are actually the ones who are racist paano mo naman nasabi na French national agad ang nag offload just because airfrance? He specifically said ground staff in Bangkok. Hindi ba pwede Thai sila or Asian or another nationality? kaloka also naamoy mo ba? gineralize na lahat na stinky it’s like saying since maraming magnanakaw na politicians sa Pilipinas mag nanakaw na lahat ng Pilipino or since from middle east may possibility na terrorist sila. It is normal na question ka if ang visa san ka nag apply is different from your point of entry. Just because you booked business class doesnt exempt you from the rules. sumunod ka sa rules wala ka magiging problem ganun ka simple.
Ummm. There is a reason why a lot of people say the French are racist. It’s common for them to be rude and snotty, especially to anyone who is non-French.
Flew Airfrance before and I must agree with Enchong. Worst. They even lost one of our luggage from Nice to Paris. Food was so bad and FAs couldn't care less. I thought worst na ang PAL experience ko ng MNL to LAx pero after mas haggard pala Airfrance.
257 true but there’s probably more to it. weve only heard one side of the story. i find it strange that the ground crew will offload him just because they want to powertrip reason esp when he’s flying business class theyre not that stupid to risk potential lawsuits. if theyre bored and they couldve targetted the economy class passengers not the business. ill take his version of the story with a grain of salt something just doesnt add up in my opinion
629 ive been to europe MULTIPLE times. If you already have an active multiple entry visa, you dont need to apply again. So di pwedeng mag apply ulit pag active pa nga Schengen mo. Sus. I personally experienced that MULTIPLE times. So possible na may active visa pa si enchong (also in UK) since artista at mayaman naman sya , or nag change travel plans. Either reason, pag may Schengen ka na walang issue dapat to kase kahit pumunta pa sya sa French embassy itataboy lang sya dahil active pa nga visa. Gets na? Well if the ground staff were not power tripping , then maybe ignorant din sila like...(cough)
French people are arrogant. Bagay sila ng mga Quebecois, who are their relatives anyway. Don't take it personally unless nagbayad ka ng malaki. Then you show some sass.
There are holes to your story. Flying in to London to circumvent your issue most definitely created further issues with your ticket. Exactly wag sisihin ang sistema. Air France employees were only doing their job because kung may issue sa visa mo when you land, airlines are monetarily penalized. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse and do not use the race card if the rules dont work in your favor.
Off topic lang..had dinner alone sa Paris dati. Hindi naman racism at all pero very weird vibe lang na parang di ka nila bet sa resto. The place has an Asian couple, white female diner na mag isa din etc etc. I just noticed lang na chika ang mga server sa lahat except sa akin. I ordered food and all a. Basta may something! Ang conclusion ko is maybe lalaki ako na mag isa kaya no need effortan.
Medyo hindi sila warm agad. But when you speak a little bit of their language, may onting gaan na hehe. So sabi ko talaga no, kaya nga tinatanong ko kasi I'd be ordering other complementary dishes. Anyway hehe...
2:53 Agree. I've only been to Paris, and this is based on my experience. Pag papasok ako ng establishment (cafe, restaurant, pharmacie, etc) and sasakay ng taxi - I greet them with basic French greetings, even if mali pronounciation ko. They appreciate the effort. I didn't experience any racism from the Parisians.
I guess Europeans in general are straightforward. Us Filipinos/Asians are warm and friendly, so when we are in a straightforward culture we feel slighted na para bang "suplada nito ah", ganon 🙂
Possible reasons: 1. “Main destination” rule Kapag nag-apply ka ng Schengen visa, kailangan mo sabihin kung saan country ka pinaka-magtatagal. Kung ang visa mo ay galing France, ibig sabihin: 👉 France ang declared main destination mo Kung diretso kang pupunta sa Spain (Madrid) at walang malinaw na plano pumunta sa France, red flag ‘yun sa immigration. 2.
Yes. Some people do abuse the system.
First, walang right yung airlines na magrevoke ng Schengen Visa, it is done by the embassy of the Schengen State.
Kung nagfly siya via Airfrance ano yun naging Manila to Paris, Paris to London tapos London to Paris ulit?
We flew couple of times with Air France kaya I can attest na an service nila ay So So Minsan ok Minsan Hindi. There was even one time that they totally forgot to give my son food (he was still a toddler at that time) binabaonan ko kc an anak ko ng food and some toys everytime bumabyahe kami and Kun type nya Yun food ko eh sinusubuan ko din xa cguro dahil din sa pagod/puyat that I only realized paguwi namin ng Bahay na Hindi xa nabigyan ng pagkain nor any toy/form of entertainment for kids on board 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ atska they are really racist Lalo na Kun Hindi ka White or don't speak French most esp Yun mga older crew nila Yan an napansin ko tapos they expect everyone speaks French Buti na lang xempre kasama ko c hubby everytime. Ibang iba talaga sa SQ alagang alaga ka from the moment you step in kaya Enchong next time don't fly European carriers they are not nice. Mag Asian or Middle eastern carriers ka like SQ, JAL, Korean air, Qatar Airways or Emirates pero for me SQ talaga the best Lalo na for long haul flights 👍🏻
First of all bago ka pa mag apply ng Schengen, hahanapin na ang plane tickets mo. So bakit sya nabigyan sa French embassy if ang pinakita nyang air tickets ay Madrid? Malabo ang kwento. I dont believe na racist sila sa Business class, been flying with them on Business class wala naman ganyang kaganapan, unless ikwento ni accla ang buong kwento why Spain ang punta tapos galing sa French embassy ang visa, nag change route ba sya at di sinunod kung ano ang mga sinubmit nya sa embassy? Noone knows
Pwede kasing previously-issued VISA na ito. France is known to issue multi-year and mulitple entry Schengen visa. So pwedeng nagamit na nya before - and since valid pa, he is using it to travel to Madrid, Spain. At dun ang problema - i think! I believe he was being questioned in Bangkok why he is travelling to Spain using a visa issued by France. It is true na open-border ang EU, pero when it comes to the uniform Schengen visa, it will look suspicious if your trip does not match the basis on which the visa was issued (i.e. France travel).
Airlines kasi ay may duty to make sure you have the required travel documents. It is true that sometimes they can be over-cautious - but this is because they possibly could face penalties if the passenger is denied entry in the country of destination. I am sure binigyan sya ng reason why they refused to board him. In my personal experience, I have an indian colleague offloaded from our Emirates flight in Dubai airport (nakasakay na kami sa eroplano) kasi they asked for a visa for SaoPaolo Brazil even if we were only transiting and rule says no visa is needed for transit. After he was disallowed, they validated this at the Dubai airport and he was allowed to fly the next day without the visa. That is how strict they are. But I wont go as far as calling them racist.
Wala sya namention bakit France sya kumuha visa pero nsa Madrid sya, di nya nilinaw san longest stay nya. Palagi ako sa France kumukuha ng Schengen Visa kasi mabilis at straight to the point ang requirements unlike sa Italy na pati train tickets hahanapin sayo eh mostly ang train tix cant be cancelled if u change your plans.
Na-block din sya sa London because England is not part of Schengen. He needs to have a separate visa for that.
He should have checked all the visas he needed before travelling and the rules of Schengen.🙄
No comment on racism. Every country has a fair share on that.
I think Airfrance raised a valid concern because he is going to go to Madrid but he has a France-issued Schengen visa. Ito yung root-cause - and not because they are racist. Pwede siguro racist yan kung out of the blue, bigla syang pinagdiskitahan.
Totoo yan. Even Italians hates them ayaw nila mga tao taga France. Mayayabang daw kasi. Totoo yan! Yes, they are racist. I swear nanahimik na mga yan If lumaban ka at wala na sila masagot sayo kasi alam nila nagkamali sila at sila yung tipo tao hinde aamin ng pagakakamali.ayaw nila napapahiya sila. This is base pag dating nakipag business ka sa kanila totoo yan
France is no longer the France it used to be. Their government is been collapsing. But his claim french are racist, its just his own personal feeling. These days people always throw racist card to just about anything. They become soft to just about any words they hear or actions towards them. There are people who are racist, that for sure but you need to toughen out when you're outside of your own comfort zone. The world don't revolves around you to caters your needs as you always expected it to be. If he really seriously thought that the airlines treated him unjustly he can always file a complaint against it. Or learn a thing or two on how to respond to someone discriminating you right then and there. But who cares with the workers who you might think discriminating you anyway? At the end of the day, they are just sitting there working for you to attend to your needs right?! And after the flight you get up and do your thing while they'll be still on the same spot tending to the next customers. Give them some slacks for the next person to offend;)
Okay Enchong?! Inform yourself first bago pa magpa alam kuno na meronng Multi entry visa. Ayan tuloy napagastos kana, nadiscriminate kuno kapa.
hirap din yun ah nakakastress
ReplyDeleteGrabe, pwede dapat yun! Pag Schengen, yung issuing visa could be: Your point of entry OR country you're staying at the longest.
DeleteEnchong could be staying in Paris the longest kaya yun yung visa nya kahit Madrid entry point nya.
True.
Period.

DeleteAlso (London) UK is not in the shengen area. Unless may UK visa din sya.
Delete1:58 Good point. Another possibility is he probably bought a British Airways ticket BKK/xLHR/CDG, transit LHR, so he doesn't need a UK visa.
DeleteAnd, as you have mentioned… French people have the worst and most rude attitude among Europeans.
DeleteNope.The Austrians.
DeleteTry Hungarians. Grrrrrrrr
DeleteI agree that Air france (or Most French People) are actually racist.. They really suck..
ReplyDeleteThey are so arrogant yet they stink!
DeleteTHIS!!! Somehow they have this belief that they are better than other people.
DeleteAt lalo yan feeling validated ang belief nilang yan kasi kapag andito sila, parang "starstruck" mga tao kung treat sila which is actually just our natural way of being hospitable.Well..Even towards the Americans these, French and British people exude superiority complex.
Delete10:59 Not a belief but that's actually part of their culture and upbringing. And also, I read this from a French person perspective: "If everyone thinks we feel superior, maybe it's because they've seen for themselves that we are."
Delete@3:54 That statement is classic hypocrisy.
Delete1:19 totoo lol. may officemate kaming french dati. omg ung damit nya parang ilang araw na nyang suot, at parang pinangpasok na nya, pinangtulog at pinangpasok nya ulit. ang ganda ganda pa man din nya, pero may pagkadugyot lol
DeleteOmg same!! May classmate ako French here sa Japan sa language school. And sa dorm sya ng school nakatira. Imagine summer un tapos same jersey ung suot nya everyday? At Grabe sakit talaga sa ilong. And totoo na arrogant sila. Imagine nag apply sya part-time jobs in one month 4 lahat tig 1 or 2 days lang sya tumatagal. May hindi sya nakuha sa interview palang, pina refund Nya sa company yung transpo and time nya naloka ako! Inaway nya talaga haha
Deleteactually racist ang france in terms of schengen visa. mas malaki chance mo ma deny pag france. Bottomline racist talaga sila. they categorized visiting sa bansa nila
ReplyDeletemahigpit yata sila dahil sa mataas over staying sa bansa nila most likely from south asia.
kung gusto nyo ma accept sa schengen visa go for greece and balkan countries tapos back packing ka na lang whole europe
Thanks for sharing this, though I've read in travel forums na Spain and Italy are more strict daw due to overstaying Pinoys.
DeleteI think it depends on your profile. I got my SV via france and they gave me a one year ME. May friends din ako who usually get via france kasi mas maluwag sila magbigay compared sa ibang EU countries.
DeleteAsk ko lang more than 3x talaga dapat mag EU in 2 years before ka mabgyan ng ME? Kc my son is going to study in EU this summer na. Imagine planning to apply ME but 3rd time k palang sakali.
DeleteHa ha... looks like the pot is calling the kettle black :D :D :D Penoys are racists too ;) ;) ;) Just think of the names you made up for your AFAM friends :) :) :) There's nognog, bantot, hairy, etc... :D :D :D
ReplyDeletepeople commenting racist are actually the ones who are racist paano mo naman nasabi na French national agad ang nag offload just because airfrance?
ReplyDeleteUmmm. There is a reason why a lot of people say the French are racist. It’s common for them to be rude and snotty, especially to anyone who is non-French.
Delete2:31.
DeleteUsually, but nit always, yes 8:15
DeletePAL ground crew in Changi, Suvarnabhumi, and Taoyuan airports are all locals of their country (we traveled to these countries in the last 6 months)
ReplyDeleteNo such thing as not letting you board because your destination is not the country that issued your visa. Ground stafff were just power tripping
ReplyDeleteAgree
Delete257 true but there’s probably more to it. weve only heard one side of the story. i find it strange that the ground crew will offload him just because they want to powertrip reason esp when he’s flying business class theyre not that stupid to risk potential lawsuits. if theyre bored and they couldve targetted the economy class passengers not the business. ill take his version of the story with a grain of salt something just doesnt add up in my opinion
Delete257, please check the rules for Schengen visa bago mo sabihing power tripping ang ground crew.
Delete629 ive been to europe MULTIPLE times.
ReplyDeleteFrench and Germans are definitely racist
ReplyDeletePinoys are also racist.
DeleteAll nationalities are racist.
DeleteAll aliens are racist
Delete10:53 yup, try working with them. 😂
DeleteFrench people are arrogant. Bagay sila ng mga Quebecois, who are their relatives anyway. Don't take it personally unless nagbayad ka ng malaki. Then you show some sass.
ReplyDeleteThere are holes to your story.
The place has an Asian couple, white female diner na mag isa din etc etc. I just noticed lang na chika ang mga server sa lahat except sa akin. I ordered food and all a. Basta may something! Ang conclusion ko is maybe lalaki ako na mag isa kaya no need effortan.
ReplyDeleteMedyo hindi sila warm agad. But when you speak a little bit of their language, may onting gaan na hehe. So sabi ko talaga no, kaya nga tinatanong ko kasi I'd be ordering other complementary dishes. Anyway hehe...
Delete2:53 Agree.
DeleteI guess Europeans in general are straightforward. Us Filipinos/Asians are warm and friendly, so when we are in a straightforward culture we feel slighted na para bang "suplada nito ah", ganon 🙂
Possible reasons:
ReplyDelete1. “Main destination” rule
2. First point of entry expectation (minsan)
3. Suspicion of “visa shopping”
Yes. Some people do abuse the system.
ReplyDeleteFirst, walang right yung airlines na magrevoke ng Schengen Visa, it is done by the embassy of the Schengen State.
Kung nagfly siya via Airfrance ano yun naging Manila to Paris, Paris to London tapos London to Paris ulit?
Sorry pero it doesnt make sense
Hay. I feel yung pag ka 3rd world country natin talaga. Need visa everywhere
ReplyDeleteWe flew couple of times with Air France kaya I can attest na an service nila ay So So Minsan ok Minsan Hindi.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all bago ka pa mag apply ng Schengen, hahanapin na ang plane tickets mo. So bakit sya nabigyan sa French embassy if ang pinakita nyang air tickets ay Madrid? Malabo ang kwento. I dont believe na racist sila sa Business class, been flying with them on Business class wala naman ganyang kaganapan, unless ikwento ni accla ang buong kwento why Spain ang punta tapos galing sa French embassy ang visa, nag change route ba sya at di sinunod kung ano ang mga sinubmit nya sa embassy? Noone knows
ReplyDeletePwede kasing previously-issued VISA na ito.
Delete7:17 makikita naman ng immigration sa system kung nag travel sya sa France within the visa validity period and that should somehow clear his intent
DeleteWala sya namention bakit France sya kumuha visa pero nsa Madrid sya, di nya nilinaw san longest stay nya.
ReplyDeleteHe should have checked all the visas he needed before travelling and the rules of Schengen.🙄
ReplyDeleteNot surprised.
ReplyDeleteFrench people are one of the top rudest people in the word 🤷🏻♂️
Totoo yan. Even Italians hates them ayaw nila mga tao taga France. Mayayabang daw kasi. Totoo yan! Yes, they are racist. I swear nanahimik na mga yan If lumaban ka at wala na sila masagot sayo kasi alam nila nagkamali sila at sila yung tipo tao hinde aamin ng pagakakamali.ayaw nila napapahiya sila. This is base pag dating nakipag business ka sa kanila totoo yan
ReplyDeleteFrance is no longer the France it used to be.
ReplyDeleteTruelagen. Direct to the point, efficient at practical
