I live in Canada for 8 years na. Baligtad experience ko noong bago pa lang ako. I am a Catholic then and still now. Pero nung unang dating ko dito, mga born again Christian na filipino ang tumulong sa akin, nagshare ng resources, nagdonate ng winter clothes, and even food. Sila din tumulong sa akin nung wala akong pambayad sa landlord ko and pinatira nila ako ng libre. I never converted to born again christian but they still help me until now. I also help them kasi nakakaluwag na rin ako.
Lately nagkaroon ng Catholic community sa town kung saan ako nakatira ngaun. Once lang ako umattend ng catholic Filipino mass pero yung sermon ng pari puro paninira sa born again christians. Hindi na ako umattend sa filipino mass after nun. Like paano kayo makakahikayat ng members if naninira kayo ng ibang sekta?
The filipino catholic community in my town doesnt have a large number of members compared sa filipino born again christians. Some catholic na friends ko nagconvert na into born again. Kasi mas welcoming sila. They help hindi para magconvert ka kundi they genuinely want to help. And their pastor never spoke ill of the catholic beliefs.
