Sikat na talaga sya. Kulang nalang mention ni Federer. Kilala na din sya ni Navratilova
ReplyDeleteMakakapag akyat sya ng business sa Tennis kasi kaya nya mag dala ng crowd, need lang talaga ni Alex to train more, madami pa talaga opportunity for her to improve makapasok man lang sa WTA top 10 to prove na di lang sya hype bata pa naman sya so may panahon pa..
ReplyDeleteYes! Imagine the revenue when this cutie is around.
ReplyDeleteNaalala ko yung laban nila ni Parks na pinapatahimik ni ante yung crowd during the rally hahaha. Paka entitled din e eh
ReplyDeleteOMG. Learn abt tennis etiquette. Nakakahiya
DeleteIts a shame here teh, sobra
DeleteAgree. 131 take the time to learn the sport you are watching as well. Hindi lang lagi sunod sa uso.
DeleteGanun po tlaga kasi. Dapat tahimik. Dipo kagaya sa baseball, basketball and among other sports. A tennis-you need to be quiet. It is not a written rule, but it is implied and needs to be followed by the audience.
DeleteHow do you call that entitled? Lmao. La ka lang manners
DeleteThe most famous tennis player in the world is Anna Kournikova :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteKournikova is sexy and all and with famous singer long time partner half filipino Enrique Iglesia and their kids but she never won a single Grand Slam. In doubles yes, single love 0-0.
DeleteSo shallow. Alex is not after that title.
Delete2:02 she never won ANY singles title in her career lol, not even a small tournament. She’s a decent player actually with great core skills, hence her relative success in doubles; just not mentally strong to win finals though.
DeleteNope It’s Martina Hingis at the age of 16 she’s number 1 no one can duplicate her
Delete3:22 Really? Wow. Gotta check her stat. I watched her matches and warm ups back in the days.
Delete6:24 AM Steffi Graf is much better than Hingis so was Monica Seles before the stabbing in Germany.
DeleteAnd, as much as I don’t like Serena Williams she has the most Grand Slams.
Hingis at 16 is no 1 she’s using mental game in tennis her ball placement is superb.
DeleteHingis is not the most famous. She’s a great WTA returnee, can slice and drop ball to control the ball but she has no power serve nor power forehand. True, she’s a cerebral tennis player, can read geometrical dynamics of the ball. She was just lucky when she turned pro, Graf and Seles are on the door way out. The Williams sisters just started. When the William sisters dominated tennis, Hingis had no response to their power. Then the Russians like Sharapova get into the mix. She never came back.
DeleteWhether we like it or not, and even I don’t like Serena Williams, she is the most famous and has most Grand Slams. Her race made her more popular world wide since tennis and skiing were once sports for white elites.
So there.
Sobrang cringe ng mga Pilipino na OA sa support, to the point they're eing disrespectful to her opponent. The last match, grabeng nakakahiya yung behavior ng mga Pinoy fans in the crowd; sadly they're not aware of tennis etiquette, hindi siya parang boxing match na hiyaw na lang ng hiyaw kung kelan mo gusto, para tuloy it gave motivation to her opponent to beat her in the match. If you only people around the world are saying about us sa mga forums, mahihiya ka na lang as a Filipino. I've seen posts that want her to lose as early as Round 1 sa lahat ng slams because they don't want to deal with the rowdiness of the crowds she attracts, yes, tayo po yun. I'm a tennis an ever since the time of Graf and Seles, I've never seen this kind of hype in all of the up and coming players, even when Serena or Sharapova were starting. Alex is good, but honestly not that good to be a top player, and I'm saying this with all the knowledge I have for the sport.
ReplyDeleteThis. And sadly, understanding ko ung mga mindset ng iba that they want to get rid of Filos as audiences. Either feeling close tayo sa player or ung feeling alta sa sport that I can't explain. Ngayon lahat na gusto mag tennis forda style. I feel embarassed more for our behavior when she wins. Di manlang tayo humble. Isang score parang nanalo na sya. Yikes. Pero nakikisawsaw ang ibang players kasi sikat sya and that's the game. And by sikat is tayo nag hype. Reeking of class and fame validation ang Filipino audiences through Alex. It's giving Brazil at the Academy Awards.
DeleteThey thought they are doing n cockpit arena🤣 such an embarrassment
HUY! KAYA GANYAN COMMENTS SA PINOY KASI MARAMI DUON INGGIT AT RACISG SA DAMI NG FANS NI ALEX! THREATENED PARA SA MGA FAVE PLAYERS NILA. MARAMI DUON MGA INDONESIAN DAHIL WALA NAPANSIN KE TJEN, O AMERIXANS DAHIL SA ARROGANCE. MANUOD KA NG TENNIS HA PARA MALAMAN MO NA AMERICAN, FRENCH AND ITALIAN FANS ARE 100% WORSE! 🤦🤦🤦🤦
Delete9:46 At ano naman ikaka-inggit nila kay Eala? Dami ng fans? Hindi po popularity contest ang tennis. It's a sport that demands results before one can celebrated.
Deletetennis is a sport for the affluent. may mga kaya at may etiquette tlaga mga yan. ang rowdiness at pasipol sipol at pasigaw sigaw nakakairita sa mga taong kagaya nila. nakakahiya din talaga massociate pag minsan sa mga pinoy ng hnd sinasadya dahil sa ganitong mga behavior. dont get me wrong po. proud akong maging pinoy pero kung ang matatandaan nila sa atin eh mga ganitong paguugali na jinajustify pa ng madami, nakakahiya din talaga. may mga tamang lugar para sa bawat bagay.
DeleteSana si Alex magsabi ng tamang etiquette when watching the game. Kasi siya din mapapahiya kung yunh mga pinoy audience ay rowdy
DeleteTrue! Nakakahiya maging Pinoy!
DeleteShe will need to win at least one or two Open para mas makilala sya sa larangan ng tennis world. Otherwise, magiging another Eugenie B. lang din, or any other non-winning tennis player lang din sya. Harsh but reality iyan.
ReplyDeleteHindi sya kagalingan
ReplyDeleteAll the support and she still lost.
ReplyDeleteTennis is a cerebral sport. Sometimes even you’re match points ahead, to close the match is nerve rocking. This where veterans are way ahead than younger pros.
DeleteI hope Jollibee gets her as endorser. Sayang kung kunin siya ng foreign competitor.
ReplyDeleteHuwag naman sana tayo basta sumunod lang kung ano ang uso. If we really want to support Alex, sana matuto din muna tayo na aralin yung sport, the dos and donts, the proper tennis etiquette, etc. Instead na makatulong tayo sa kanya, baka tayo pa ang maging reason sa downfall ni Alex.
ReplyDeleteToxic Filipino behavior lang din talaga magpapabagsak sa atin. She's getting hate from around the world because of our craving for validation through her. That has a huge impact on her mental game. Tsk tsk.
DeleteI don't know lang ha about this tennis etiquette daw. I've been a follower of tennis grand slams for decades and ive seen rowdier crowds. These were caucasian players ha, but since they are in a big venue, keri lang kesehodang magsisigaw sila. Marcos Bagdahtis way to the AO finals alwaus comes to mind as an example. L
ReplyDeleteNot in Wimbledon. They are still tight upper lip prim and proper. All players wearing white.
DeleteYou can get away in the US Open AFTER points not during. New York rowdiness started with Connors & McEnroe followed by bad boy returnee Andre Agassi then here comes the entitled divas William sisters when they were much younger. With all the waves and all.
Some Spaniards and Latinos cheer their players as if they are watching soccer games.
This doesn’t bother me as long AFTER the points.
The WASP watches tennis match as if they’re watching opera. lol!
Tennis is a cerebral sport, you can lose momentum just by a noisy grunt like of Monica Seles. lol!
Hindi pa namaster ni Alex ang mental and physical strenght sa Tennis.
ReplyDeleteShe just turned pro a year ago. Give her a break.
DeleteHope she’ll be more than just a hype because of her fan base and improve her game.
