I thought I was enough and that my son would not feel the absence of a father. But I was wrong. Nalaman ko na lang when he graduated from elementary na his classmates were asking him pala and that they really thought wala siyang tatay. Over time, nawala na din naman yung galit ko sa ex ko so I was really prepared for the moment na kapag nagtanong ang anak ko, I would tell him. After 14 years, he asked and I told him. They had their first Christmas and NY together last 2024. Ang gaan sa pakiramdam promise. And my son was really happy to meet his dad's side of the family. I'm just thankful na nagmature na yung ex ko and he found a really good wife who welcomed our son wholeheartedly. It's the mother's choice to not see the father. But it should not be the mother's choice na huwag makita ng anak ang tatay niya. That's just cruel and selfish.

Girl, it's too early to say that. Wala ka pa sa exciting part ng pagiging solo parent. And we all know how having an absent father can impact the child later in life.
