It’s disappointing how some people still defend Vic Sotto and the others involved in the Pepsi Paloma case. A public apology was issued—why apologize if you truly did nothing wrong? Pepsi was just a teenager when she accused three powerful men. The case was dropped after she signed an affidavit, likely under pressure, and then she died under suspicious circumstances a few years later. That’s not closure—that’s injustice. Just because someone is a beloved celebrity doesn’t mean they’re beyond accountability. We owe it to victims, past and present, to remember these stories and speak up when something feels wrong.
