Not a Good Choice

Semi-retired Actress (SA) seems to not fully leave showbiz and devote 100% of her time to family away from the glamorous life. SA was in demand years ago. She was popular in both traditional and non-traditional media. SA appealed to the male demographics that cut across ages and importantly, she did not go through the love team route. However, SA had her share of controversies as her career progressed.

After making a name in showbiz and gaining followers, SA disappeared from the limelight. As always, her disappearance was automatically linked to pregnancy rumors. True enough, SA turned her back on showbiz and decided to see what the married life had to offer. Years passed and SA finally succeeded in her family life. Of course, showbiz forgave her for disappearing and soon she got her second chance.

These days, SA has appeared in big productions but now plays mature roles, as a parent to the younger generation of actors. Still, SA continues to have that appeal, which has led to her appearance in popular social media sites as an endorser. As an endorser, part of the work is to entice online participants to join and place some of their hard-earned income. Some viewers are bothered as SA has a strong convincing power of requesting. Sadly, the participants are often OFWs or people who live on minimal salaries, hoping Lady Luck will smile on them. Despite knowing that chances are higher that one will lose rather than win, participants continue to risk. The question is if SA is fine to be an instrument that could ruin innocent lives.
