DeleteNung nineties standard para sa mga mainstream singer tulad nila Gary Regine Pops Martin Lani etc ang magconcert pero puro kanta ng foreign artist ang setlist. Di kasi tayo masyado pang binibisita ng mga foreign artist noon. Ngayon iba na. Parang ang cheap ng isang singer na matagal na sa industriya pero walang naestablish na sariling tunog or sariling music.
ReplyDeleteMay sariling na tayong music. Especially during the mid 70's , when the OPM started to fominate our scenes. Though our singers would still use songs of foreign artists. We have been exposed to foreign artists, particularly American and British.

Now i realize bakit ung mga Pop/Ballad singers naten puro usong foreign songs ang kinakanta sa concert nila, they would always do top hits dahil hanggang MTV at radyo lang naten naririnig yung mga ganon kanta and foreign acts dont usually go to PH pag sikat na. Ang madalas nag OOPM lang dati sa mga concerts eh mga banda like eheads and parokya.

Ganoon talag yun May sari-sarili tayong preference when it comes to singers. But I can’t consider her as a versatile singer. Hindi Lahat ng genre ay bagay sa boses niya but she can certainly turn a song sa style and arrangement na aagma sa boses niya
ReplyDeletesobrang hard ang judgment kay regine. of course her voice changed. not only natural lang yon as we age, but she sings a lot. parang wala shang rest. sa pilipinas palaging sing sing sing always sa lahat ng show lahat ng ocassion. the demands to perform for filipino singers is intense. mahirap ang mga pans. especially mga pinoy pans.

ReplyDeleteTrue! Never like Regine's screaming squealing singing style since before! A cover singer and Whitney Copycat! But the Great Whitney H never screamed, because she didnt have to. She was, simply, THE VOICE. Whitney could do all the runs and high notes and just make it look so effortless!!!

Who among her peers and among the new generation divas can have a concert almost every year in MOA Arena and Araneta Colisuem. Only Sharon Cuneta, Sarah Geronimo at Regine can. The rest until now are trying hard copycats. And she is on the Top 5 of the most streamed Filipino Artist until now and the biggest selling Filipino Artist of all time. This are all facts. Organic and not Hype.
