  1. Did she not learn from her previous roles? she played:
    - fantine, who died of TB bc of poverty and homelessness
    - eponine, who also ended up homeless bc of squandered money amidst poverty
    - kim, a teenager who became a prostitute bc she lost her home during the vietnam war

      LOL!!!

    2. It was just acting. They really don't relate.

    3. Like what you said, those are plays - not reality. What is happening now is our reality at this moment. Don’t confuse a play with reality.

      Delete
    4. Then she read the script and did not even learn a thing or two. She shouldve known better 2:57

    5. My God where is your sense of humor, guys? There were a lot of Covid memes that came out and a lot were really funny! C'mon don't be so serious! We can really get this through.

      Delete

    9. It was just a quote, my goodness! This Mr. Altarejos took it literally and seriously.
The point of the message is, the previous generations didn't have it easy. Who are we to complain when there are people who were/are not even half as lucky as us?

I also don't have Netflix but I'm not offended at all. Geez!

      Delete
    10. I beg to disagree, 2:57. As a method actor, you immerse yourself to the character you are portraying. That includes delving into the mind and emotion of the character. Somehow dapat naintindihan ni Ms Salonga yun. May point si 1:24

    11. the irony of life.

    12. 12:17 why? because just because the older generations had it “worse” does not mean she can invalidate the pain and struggle that most of us are facing right now.

  2. The message if for those privileged na nagcocomplain.

    2. Agree. When i read lea’s post, i did not see anything wrong about it. It is not for general application but for those people na pasaway lang talaga.

    3. You nailed it 1:29! I've read Leah's post and I didnt find it offensive or anything. Be safe everyone and God bless us all!

    4. Ako rin. I'm so confused na kung ano ba offensive at hindi. Kanya kanya tlga.

    1. Agree with 1:29, the first post is for the priviledged na nagcocomplain.

    2. cguro naman tita lea was just trying to make light of the situation, loosen up people.

    3. im with ninang on this. masyadong pa-woke yung altajeros

It's not meant to offend naman. It's like a wake-up realization kung gaano tayo kaswerte pa nga kung tutuusin kumpara sa iba.

      Delete

  5. Definitely ask accountability from the government why they didn't do anything early on. It is clear that no plan was ever in place when worse comes to worst. The issue has been there since January. Symptoms of a possible pandemic has been looming for 2 months, and they didn't do anything. There were countries who acted swiftly and now reaping thr benefits from doing so. It's part of our job as citizens to demand accountability from the government.

    1. I read a post from a fb friend na govt worker na nag state of calamity para ma release ng lgu yung funds sa constituents nila. I hope this would be enough para di na sila sumugal sa daan. Pero sana kung mag presscon sila, andun na lahat ng details para iwas batikos and also para may peace of mind tayo. Sa sobrang labo kasi, ang resulta confusion and fear.

      Delete
    2. Hopefully.

    3. The government should have been more cautious months ago hindi yung ganito na tumaas na ang case ng covid 19. He lockdown domestic sea and air but still accepts international flights, anong sense ng lockdown eh puro exposed sa other countries ang may dala ng virus. They are not even considering using the term lockdown kundi enhance quarantine para di pa din sila accountable sa needs ng mga tao.

    4. True. Yun lang naman hinihingi ng mga netizens. Aside from community quarantine, ano pang plano ng gobyerno.

      Delete
    3. Limited naman talaga.

      Delete
    4. Don’t know if limited or not but she does what she does best. So doesn’t really matter if di sha mala Whitney.

      Delete
    5. Sadly yes, her repertoire in almost all her concerts are the same. But yes when it comes to clarity, perfect pitch, diction and enunciation - no question she’s great, but range- limited.

      Delete
    6. YES!

      Bwhahahah

      Sad but true!

She can hit low notes beautifully kahit di sobrang strong ang higher notes nya.

      Delete

      Delete
    9. Yes it is. She cannot even belt. Mahina ang boses ni Lea. But that’s not to say that she’s not a good singer. She’s good but it’s true- her range is limited!

      Delete
    10. Magkaiba sila ng genre sina Lea at Whitney.

      Delete
    11. At kay Whitney talaga kinompare. Baket kelangan I-compare? Also, I do understand Lea’s post. Seems to me she is not referring to everyone. She is referring to that segment or class of people na afford na Di muna wag work pero reklamo pa rin about quarantine.

    14. Hello? Si Whitney kung mag broadway or mag opera singing kaya. She can do the usual belt but she can change it up. All im saying is Tita Leah is a great one trick pony with limited vocal range.

      Delete
    15. 5:15 sobrang galing ni Whitney dun sa medley nya ng I love you Porgy at And Im telling you.

      Delete
    16. limitado nga. pero magandang pakinggan.

      Delete
    17. Porket di sya biritera limited na? I'd rather listen to her than the singers in asap na pataasan ng boses to be honest.
Heck, name one nanalo ng international award as big as the tony's.

      Delete

      Delete
    19. 3:25 Haha baka di mo siguro alam ang Tony's kaya u call it tsamba. And how bitter is your life na you pass off people's accomplishments as tsamba.

What's the point of comparing whitney and lea? Whitney was a recording artist while Lea is a theater artist. They both won the most prestigious awards for their craft.

      Delete

Saka if issue talaga we can call out the person on the issue without insulting her.

  8. I believed she was pertaining to people who just didn’t want to stay at home not those who can’t afford to stay at home. The personal attack, Jay, is not necessary.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ganyan nga Ms Leah. Smile na lang and be positive.

Time of the month ba niya.

    ReplyDelete
  11. If you grew up privilaged you'll see this lockdown as a staycation but for most of us it's hell, what about our needs, food, money to pay bills if life comes to a halt.

I suggest sa mga celebrities to emphatize with middle to low incone wage earners. Donate out of your pocket para makatulong kayo, hindi yung puro puna at kuda lang kayo

    1. 4:50 Stop thinking all posts are for you or about you. The world doesn’t revolve around you, just like it doesn’t revolve around lea.

Also, We can only hope for privileged people to show empathy, but don’t demand it. Stop being so entitled.

  12. She’s a talented theater actress.
She’s also full of herself, privileged, and out-of-touch with the realities that the common masa face in their daily lives.
    Just stating šŸ¤·šŸ»‍♂️

      Delete
  13. I agree with Lea. Puro complains kayu. Totoo naman post nya. Just follow tama n complain do self care, reflect, pray. Some of you in these times of calamity are using the poor people to hanash things out.

    ReplyDelete
  14. As if kahinaan ang range. Lol At di lang about high notes yan oi.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The meme was originally posted by James Deakins. Not sure why the hell was he getting butt hurt by Lea sharing it? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lea is just trying to build a metaphor here to lift the spirit of everyone.... Huwag maging literal.... She meant that we can fight this by staying home.... The battle is just starting and this is the best that we can do (which is less than what our grandparents have fought for)... wag masyadong sensitive... Nakapagspend ka nga ng time magrepost at magcomment...

Masyadong seryoso naman ang mga tao. It's just a quote with a sense of humor.

  17. I don’t think she meant that message for the poor, but rather for the ones who can and able to stay home but are ignoring the warnings!

    ReplyDelete
  18. more kambyo si Madame sa long post niya ah! push natin!

  19. Duterte supporter kasi si Lea kaya sya ganyan

    ReplyDelete
  20. It's not only for the poor but in general (all of us) speaking Kuya! Which means we have to be cooperate and help in order to lessen the scattering of the virus to other people.Even here in Malaysia they just give a lockdown mandatory instruction...

  22. 2:28 Maski sa acting, pang stage sya, not for tv or movies.

    ReplyDelete
  23. ayan natauhan na siya. nag post na si tita lea na full of concern for the ones who can’t afford and watch netflix. she said she hears those who told her to check her privilege.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Meh, she is tiresome. She thinks she is always right, wala namang alam.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't know this Jay person pero his banat is very cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Feeling naman ng Jay Altarejos na yan it's because of him that Lea typed it.
