    1. Philippines is a diverse and multi-cultural country.

Iba iba ang hitura ng tao, minsan mala-Latina ang looks due to Hispanic influence, mala-Chinese due to pre-colonial trades, pati traders nag-asawahan. And also, may resemblance ng Western looks dahil sa cross breeding/marriage.

    3. Ban halfsies in beaucon! And w/ foreign passport!

    4. I agree someone who can speak Tagalog fluently

Lahat may halo.

      Delete
    6. Lol! Kahit mga Aeta, African ang origin kaya tigil-tigilan na ang pure Filipina chenes na iyan because we never had one in the first place

    8. Janine, Ara, Maxine. O ayan.
Ano masama sa halfie? Kung magaling and prepared naman like Pia and Catriona?

  4. Live like a queen?

Akala ko ba more on social works ito and implementing campaigns on advocacies ito?

Paki explain yun kung pano ka mag help like e.g. ng women of domestic abuse by Living like a Queen.

Paki-ayos ang conflicting marketing tag line nyo.

Baka umatras ako nyan sa application ko.
Gandahan nyo sagot na pang Beauty pageant ha!

    1. parang tinamad na mag FGD ang naggawa ng branding nila. di man lang tinest how the message would register!

    2. Come on, be realistic.

A beauty pageant is a means to push for your advocacy, highlight it, and gather support for it - YES. But anyone joining a pageant, REALISTICALLY wants more than just that.

If you've ever joined a pageant before, alam na NAPAKAGASTOS nya. Clothes, makeup, training, etc. So a monetary incentive when you win + the potential to earn IS attractive. Saka do keep in mind that this is their FIRST run, so siempre, hindi ka makakakuha ng maayos na kandidata na advocacy lang ang highlight mo, kailangan meron kang irresistible offer.

    3. 10:46 yeah but it doesn't have to be as in your face as this marketing line they used. as someone here said, pang social climber vibes.

    1. 1:01 omg wla pa lang prize before??

  6. Ba't may pa ganito?

  7. Sorry pero parang pang mahirap ang branding. Live like a queen talaga?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Agree. Ene be yen...

      Delete
    2. 2.07am oo nga no parang recruitment agency lang ang peg.haha

      Delete
    3. Because that's what Miss Universe is - it's a job. You're the spokesperson for an organization. And perhaps yun din gusto nilang ireflect na message for Miss Universe-Philippines. So why not market it as a job? And besides, who doesn't want to live like a queen? :)

      Delete
  8. I will not nominate myself. Charaught!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Masyadong social climber vibes ang paandar Nila. Para Nila sinabing you need all the luxury to be a queen.

    1. 2:08 - GANIYAN KASI SA MISS U. GINAYA LANG NILA KASI NGA LOCAL FRANCHISE SIYA.

      Delete
  10. Kacheapan ang branding. Iba pa rin ang binibini, vegafria and carousel. Dito parang networking ang sasalihan ng aspirants. Kulang na lang ilagay Nila na win as much as kyeme sa tag line.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I got confuse, Queen pero may work? Like what? Ambassador na lang kasi. Coz being a Queen it means na entitled ka like that to certain things.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Parang walang prestige itong way ng pag-market nila?

    Mejo may mali sa branding...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  15. This screams "parang awa niyo na sumali na kayo"

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sa true lang! Parang desperada na sila na may sumali.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  17. Drop this nonsense miss universe contest. They obviously only like to crown half-white pinays so they can push the white supremacy propaganda.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sa totoo lang, a lot of the pure pinay MU representatives natin before are far more educated and have more impressive backgrounds than pia and catriona but they refused to crown them. They're so UNFAIR.

      Delete
  18. Anyare? Parang naging cheap na Miss U? Naging parang materialistic ang theme lol

    ReplyDelete
I heard bigatin yung new owners, surely they can have someone do the job ng maganda. Ang teaser should really tease and excite... Sorry pero parang headhunter na naghahanap ng applicants sa regular day job yung write up.

    ReplyDelete
  20. This kind of branding indeed objectify women... Beauty pageant is about social awareness and pursuing advocacies for less privileged, hindi siya "trabaho" per se. As a true pageant fan, am so disappointed.

Napakachaka ng marketing style kasing chaka ng God ek ek na sagot during Q and A. Chereng.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Seriously, this is their sales pitch?

Need to re-train their Communications and Marketing Team.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ang cheap ng copy. Hard sell masyado. parang pang noontime show, kulang na lang sabihin pangkabuhayan showcase premyo.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bakit ganito?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ibalik nyo na lang kay Stella! Hehe

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hahahahaha, very third world ang peg. Grow up and evolve already folks. Don’t be left behind in the dirt.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sabi nyo mag evolve eh.. Kaya nag evolve ka.. LOL Actually, first time kong maka rinig nang ganitong promotion sa isang National Beauty Contest.. Sounds so pang Barangay Pageant to me..
