Baka nga it'll take time.

    2. E kasi grabe naman yung internet service dito satin. Imagine updating your os of 6.9gb and completing the update 3days laters. San k pa?

    3. Its not only the government, I believe the 2 country's network providers have something to do with it. Kaya wala makapasok na third player, under the table yan sa NTC or whatever govt instition handling that.

    4. Aba'y oo! Yng data connection ko most of the times gapang kahit nka LTE nko.. Kailangan silang kalampagin thru a 3rd telco player.

      Delete
    6. 2:17 Even in some first world countries there are only two giant networks but all the other small internet providers are under them.

    2. Halatang di ka tumatambay s HK to travel or shopping eh..China Telecom po internet nkin dun...poorita

      Delete
    3. Wow ah parang facebook hindi big brother? 😶

      Delete
    4. Ayaw, wala ko tiwala diyan. Big brother vibes. It's bad enough kung sarili mong goberyno gagawa nun pero yung taga ibang bansa pa mabigyan ng access sa atin, nako no thanks!

      Delete
    5. Sus, kung makareact paramg di gumamit ever ng china made products. Makakontra lang talaga

      Delete
    6. @1:35, i believe you missed the point :) With all that money to go to HK, sayang lang...

      Delete
    7. 1:31 If papasukin ng gobyerno ang mga foreign telcos even from First world countries eh parehas lang na ala big brother.

      Delete
    9. what 1:11 means is that China will have access to our data traffic, with that some info (be it public or confidential) will be easily accessible to them should they wish to sort/filter through the data especially if they have the technology and means. So there's possibility of breach of info security that they can use against the country.

      Delete
China does it openly but mga first world countries ginagawa rin tulad ng China.Ang China, communist country kaya gets natin na gusto nila tingnan citizens nila or anybody na against sa gobyerno.-5:03

    3. One of the reasons di umaasenso Pilipinas, mga taong katulad ni 1:23AM. Mahina comprehension.

      Delete
    4. If any of you remember before sun cellular came.. Sobra mahal ng call and text sa Pilipinas... Gumagastos ako ng 150-300/week before kasi piso per text plus 8/min sa call eh pwede naman pala unlimited call and text. Tsaka yung cellcard noon 150 pinakamura... Buti na lang dumating suncell. So yeah, third telco is needed.

    5. 1:38 AND 1:48 - YOU BOTH ALMOST MISSED THE POINT.

THAT'S THE SAD THING ABOUT THESE PINOY COMPANIES. "WALA SILANG KUSA" KAYA NGA HINDI TAYO UMAASENSO. KAYA KAILANGAN MAY GAGAWIN NA BAGO PARA MAGISING SILA.

  8. Paurong ang pag unlad ng Pilipinas. Nauungusan na tayo ng Vietnam.

    ReplyDelete

But still, negosyo pa rin. Ang galing nila..

      Delete

  9. New competitos will come with competitive prices meaning the older networks will lower theirs and improve their services to keep their subscribers and entice new ones, so yes to this.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Dont be so sure mem... You only have a new name in the world of telco, ang tanong, are they having their own backbone, or will they only tap the lines of PLDT like what SMART is doing? If yes, may sariling system ang new telco, then ok humopia tayong lahat... Pero kung backbone rin lang ni PLDT ang gamit, kahit magsumampung telco player pa yan, its all the same crap service...

      Delete

Speaking of gas station, madami mas mura sa Big three kaya yes to competition!

One can only hope.

    1. Asa ka pa with this administration...

      Delete
    2. Arte mo 1:35. It is precisely because of this administration that the possibility of a third telco player became possible.

      Delete
    3. Check mo ulit statement mo teh 7:23.

      Delete
    4. Tama SOFTBANK na Lang! Mas may tiwala pa ako pag MADE IN JAPAN!

      Delete
  11. Yes, Robbie. Kasi the duopoly enables crappy service that customers are doomed to make-do with kasi the two big players know they would need to tak a huge slash in their respective margins to actually give us the service we deserve. While your argument to just “require” them to deliver the promised service is valid, it’s a different, independent animal altogether and can be pursued along with the entry of a third player.

      Delete
    2. 2:23 just goes to show how far the duopoly would go to retain control of the market. Sun had a promising start, but it fizzled amid the pressures put on by the established players.

    3. It happens in first world countries too, halos dalawa na lang malaking telcos at inaacquire yung mga maliliit...lol.

  12. May Economics kaya sya sa course nya? Very basic, law of supply and demand.😪

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 1:56 you didn't even understand his valid points. This is not just basic economics, adding a new player in an industry controlled by two giant telcos involves other factors like ntc regulations, the quality of service currently supplied by these key players, capex requirement for the new telco, allowed bandwidth, etc.

      Delete
    2. Tama! Sobrang simple lang.

      Delete
Read between the lines.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. to all those saying na ang pinupunto ni robi e bakit kailangan pa hintayin na may dumating na third player bago ibigay ang serbisyo na nararapat, at sabay sabi na mahina ang comprehension ng mga hindi makaintindi, reality check lang mga te.. mahaba na ang panahon na dapat nilang ginawa yan pero hindi nila ginawa. patuloy pa rin ba tayong aasa na baka gawin nila yan sa mga susunod na taon kung walang ibang kompetisyon?

      Delete
  13. Agree that it is frustrating that telcos still need competition to “up” their game, BUT, did you know that a HUGE part of our internet problem in the PH is also because of the government? Why so? To improve their services such as the likes of SG, HK, and KR, our telcos need to lay fiber optics in roads to augment our increasing demand on bandwidth. However, local LGUs and National Government Agencies take advantage of the situation and ask for more so they can secure their permits.

Then again, our struggle all boils down to our corrupt system. Sad but very very true.

Not protecting telcos here ha, pero dun lang sa aspect of why they’re also having a hard time improving their services, yung gobyerno rin talaga is to blame. 🙁

Uy,first world country yan.

      Delete
    2. 11:11 Alam ko yan first world country sinasabi mo.Gusto na nga magmerge pa ng 2 big players kaya magiging 2 na lang ang natirang internet providers.Ang daming internet providers na akala ng tao sobrang dami sa first world countries yun pala iba lang names pero under the giant companies...lol

      Delete
  15. Totoo yan Robi. These businesses are milking subscribers for decades. Masyado tayong tinipid sa magandang serbisyo. Pati ba naman third telco ipagkait satin. Bat di gawing 10 telcos yan. Same with courier companies, meron isang sikat na di na umayos ang serbisyo dahil wala syang kumpetensya

    ReplyDelete
  16. Of course, the more players, the better for the consumers. It's precisely because there's not enough competition that the existing telco players don't feel compelled to give people there's money's worth.

    ReplyDelete
Wala competitors!
