The hospital has a privacy policy hence the request to not record. They were implored multiple times but were only met with profane language and bullying from the old Tulfo. Tulfo wanted the Doctor to drop everything and acquiesce to HIS commands. No self-respecting medical professional will allow themselves to be made to do anything under duress. They are medical professionals that need to be allowed to do their jobs—it was a matter of principle. Video recording, as we have now learned, is always used as a weapon against another. The narrative of video can easily be manipulated and used to file a lawsuit against the doctor and PGH, essentially, whoever is videotaping controls how such video can be used. With the imminent threats coming from the old Tulfo, the doctor or PGH personnel followed hospital policy. Tulfo is very disrespectful and acts like everybody must do what he tells them even at the risk of delaying care for the victim, who, if you think about it, would not have been injured had his chauffeur was driving defensively.

May patients privacy act po kasi. “Right To Privacy and Confidentiality–The patient has the right to privacy and protection from unwarranted publicity. The right to privacy shall include the patient’s right not to be subjected to exposure, private or public, either by photography, publications, video-taping, discussion, or by any other means that would otherwise tend to reveal his person and identity and the circumstances under which he was, he is, or he will be, under medical or surgical care or treatment."

Ang entitled lang kasi talaga. Kala mo sya yung nagpaaral at nagpapakain at nagpapasweldo sa doktor na minuramura nya. Tska di ba sya nahihiya dun sa ibang pasyente na nauna or mas malala ung kaso kesa sa kanila? Dapat nga thankful sya na di sila inuuna, ibig sabihin nun, stable at malayo sa kapahamakan ung bata. Im sure maasikaso din naman ang bata eventually once may available na na doktor. Kung di kasi sya nagmuramura dun, eh di sana nailipat na agad sa step 2 ung bata. Bida bida din kasi eh.

ReplyDeleteER yan may different levels ng treatment obviously yung life threatening and mauuna. Kaya kayo huwag gawing hobby ang pagpunta sa ER sa mga bagay bagay na walang katuturan kasi mamumuti ang mata nyo sa paghihintay. Higit sa lahat huwag pangunahan ang medical staff.
