    2. It's not about grades.

      Delete

    2. Let's give him a break. He was on his own without his family in the U.S. He probably did not get the guidance he needed. Ibang sistema... sana may mentor who could have guided him. Nagkulang din for sure ang school counselors. They should have given him more attention since he came from a different country. At least he tried. It is good he made up with his mom. I wish him the best.

      Good luck, Kobe!

  15. sa post ni kobe prang he's hinting na napilitan lng xa noon magpunta ng US, diba yun ung ultimate dream mo kobe mkapasok ng NBA? 🤔

      Nasa UP sya at iskolar.
      Matutuloy nya pag aaral nya.

Leaving in a different country w no parents is hard.teenager pa sya non.

  22. I heard one year term siya sa UP Maroons. Ano yun, pwede na ba siyang maglaro sa PBA after the term???

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. nope, he must graduate in college first and play at least 7 games in PBA D-League for him to be eligible. im not sure about the "one year term" you are saying but you maybe misunderstood it with "one year residency" which means he needs to stay in UP for a year before he become eligible in the UAAP.

      Delete
    2. 1:00 thanks for the explanation. 👍

  23. Kaya pala nagreconcile, back to Pinas siya. He will be bashed forever ng mga fans dito. Hopefully yong di nila pagkasundo ng brother niya has nothing to do with Kobes motive. Sana true not because he’s playing locally. Sa US nga naman walang pakiaalam ang fans but saten nega vibes siya. Nawala bigla ang NBA dream niya, ang taas kasi nong una ayaw bumaba lol!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The reconciliation is for himself and not for fans. Hello

  24. UP is gearing up for the championship title! The last time the Fighting Maroons won the title was during his dad's time.

BUT, based on an urban legend, one does not graduate when he has photo taken with the oblation. Good luck.

    2. Madami talaga magagaling sa america. Hindi pa pang america ang style of playing nya. And true din ung nabasa ko sa comment dito, kahit poor ang grades nya if he's an excellent player, isasalba sya. But glad he is back to the philippines! And why not to his own country?

      Delete
  26. Ang daming hanash ng mga tao dito. Be happy nalang po. Obviously he wants to be here or he would have stuck it out there talaga. Why not. So many ways to do that pero he chose to come home.

    ReplyDelete

Aside from endorsements na makukuha nya pa. And also, Kobe has the looks & may dugong showbiz.

Rockstar life nga daw siya diba? Bawasan niya yabang niya at wag umasta na ala African American off and on the court.

      Delete
    4. 4:22, sobra naman ang sama ng loob mo sa buhay ni Kobe na 20 years old pa lang at malayo pa ang mararating.

      Delete
  27. Curious ako. Kailangan ba nag-aaral ka sa UP para makapaglaro sa UP Maroons? How? Pumasa siya sa UPCAT? Or pinick-up siya ng team para maglaro? Mga baks, sincere yung tanong ko ha? Huwag nyo akong ma-bash, hehe!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oo dapat student ka ng UP. When it comes to UPCAT, yun ang hindi ko sure. Again, asset siya ng UP Maroons. Madaming paraan! Yun na!

      Delete
    2. Hindi applicable ang UPCAT sa sikat hehehe

      Delete
    3. idk kung kailangan pumasa ng upcat but ang alam ko lang is you should maintain your grades kasi kung hindi, pagpapahingahin siya.

      Delete
    4. UPCAT is for admission from high school. If you attended college in another school, you can transfer into UP if grades are sufficient for the program.

If he is not in good terms with his dad, it's surprising that Kobe chose to attend his dad's alma mater. The last time UP won the championship was when Paras and Magsanoc played for the university team - alumna

      Delete
    5. May Varsity Athletic Admission System (VAAS) for exceptional athletes. If they pass the stringent qualifying process, no need for UPCAT na. I believe most, if not all universities have the same varsity program for athletes. Kaya din sa palarong pambansa pa lang, universities are already scouting for the best high school atletes na they can recruit under the varsity program. That's not to say though na these student athletes have it easier. In UP, you still need to maintain a certain GWA every sem. You can be removed from the VAAS program if nagsusuffer yung acads mo. Some professors do not actually care if varsity athlete ka so they treat you the same way they treat the other students, no special favors. Kaya mahirap din buhay ng mga student athletes sa UP kasi they have to balance acads and training.

    6. 11:56, whether he is in good terms with his dad or not, it is very silly and illogical to think that it was a consideration whether to play for UP or not.

      Delete
  28. Mabenta sa girls dito ang itsura nya. Im sure pagkakaguluhan yan. Di man pinalad sa NBA, but he will definitely shine here.

As if they gain something kapag hindi nagtatagumpay ung kapwa nila kaya tuwang tuwa sila.

  32. Kobe may not have made it in the US but at least he tried!! He won’t have regrets now. Anyways he has a bigger chance at making it big in the PBA. He can be famous and make a lot of money. His good looks add to his appeal.

  33. Kobe is an amazing player! Maraming opportunities sya sa Pinas. Plus the good looks factor ay naku, yayaman sya! Buti na yung nag try and lost kesa hindi nag try at all!
