    1. I had the same experience. When I was younger yun mother ko pa nagpipilit saken gumamit whitening product. Wag ka pa apekto love your skin. When I worked abroad Wala ka makikita whitening product Sa stores. Western people are always jealous with my brown skin. Now I love being morena.

It just shows na wala talagang contentment ang maraming tao.

    3. Baligtad naman ako. Growing up, my dad tells me everyday that I am beautiful. Kaya I never had any insecurity sa skintone ko.

    4. 1:34 true. it's not like westerners are more content, ang gusto kasi naman nila golden sunkissed skin. the grass is always greener on the other side

      Delete
    5. Yes they like sunkissed skin but they're not insulting each other for having white or pale skin. I have nothing against filipino who wants their skin to be white, Kung ano choice mo at Sa tingin mo dun ka sasaya go for it but never hate your brown skin.

    6. Same mga besh.

  3. Lalo sa korea na very, very common ang magparetoke at normal sa mga koreano na kahit early teens ay nagpaparetoke na. Paputihan pa ng skin

    1. Koreans are naturally white skin...

    2. Baks 1:05, try watching some korean shows na nibroadcast more than a decade ago.

    3. Haha trooot 1:48. Try x-man (variety show) ng makita nyo evolution nila

  4. First thing first, it's the MEDIA. The culprit. Watch tv and you'll see. But it's good people are changing their views about beauty and backward social norms. If the media change their ways that would really help but if they stick on what they're doing best which is just wanting to earn more more money than to have responsibility like educating people, we will still view the same things as they are. We'll still think shallow.

  5. why bec pag maganda ka, u can get away with anything. sa lahat ng bagay, mas lamang ang maganda sa pinas 👍👍👍

  6. kahit anong ingay ng mundo, kung buo ka sa sarili mo, tuloy lang ang buhay. sabi nga nila, when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

  7. Kindly add rin Frankie to remind your sister to stop editing her photos to have a slimmer body when in reality, hindi naman pala.

    1. she has lost some weight na rin.

    2. I dont think she’s editing cause she constantly post videos in her ig. You cannot enhance that easily. Madalas naka angle sya if its a still shot.

    3. KC probably has a better and well toned body than you.

    2. 1:15 omg you nailed it. My family is so rude when it comes to insults and they say it straight to your face. No filter! That's why I hate going back to the Philippines to see my family sometimes because of how cruel they can be. It's either you are too fat or too skinny. I just can't win. Lol

    3. That is Filipino culture.

  10. Frankie perhaps your mama should stop exalting about her past glory and thinner body too. What's the point of looking back when you're diminishing what you have right now.

Is it too difficult to ignore them?

  11. I want a fairer skin. Is that a sin? People keep telling people to love themselves for who they are, their color, skin etc etc. That's easy to say Frankie dear.

  13. True. What's wrong if i want a fairer skin in as much as what's wrong if you change the color of your hair.

    ReplyDelete
  14. truly yan. mismong magulang ang nagpapainsecure sa bata. growing up i was called negra and ita by my relatives mismo. upto now i still find myself hating on my morena skin pag nakikita ko sa pictures. nakalakihan ko na na mahiya sa kulay ng balat ko kasi ingrained na sa akin since bata ako.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I grew up being bullied because I was negra numero unong tumatawag sakin nun e mga kapatid ko.

    ReplyDelete
  16. True! Kapag matagal ka hindi nakita unang sabihin sayo “ hoy tumaba ka” or “hoy umitim ka” it’s very rude!

  18. 2:17 am I agree.It’s a matter of respecting other people’s choice.Ke maitim o maputi ang gusto,wag pakialaman.

    1. What people are trying to address are the negative root causes of what produces negative body images. Those behaviors don't deserve to be defended and respected.

      Delete
    2. Ano ang reason behind gusto mong pumuti. I'm pretty sure it's not Just Gusto mo lang. May rason. At yung rason is shallow, narcissistic and selfish.

      Delete
    3. So paano naman yung mga white na nagpapa-tan 9:45 at 4:12? Pag ganun okay lang? Walang nagsasabi "Love your color" or kung ano pa mang rason. Pero pag morena/moreno gusto magpaputi di pwede?

      Delete
  19. Yes!!! I really dont get it why people here are so into whitening. Love your color, love your features!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Tama yan. masyado na media and tv ang nag eendorse ng ganyan. ang mga artist na nag susupport nga morena skin, no body shaming ahg dapat suportahan hindi ung sila mismo nag eendorse o gumagamit.change of mindset kailangan.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Mantra of someone who is morena, pango, etc. Stop it! As simple as that!
