Mocking the Public Image

When Showbiz Newbie (SN) entered the industry, he was among the few talents who were lucky to have been given the opportunity to be a project that was not expected to be as successful as it turned out to be. Thus, the popularity of SN suddenly rose and as bonus, viewers clamored for the new loveteam of SN and Pretty Girl (PG).

Eventually, SN found himself in various assignments, while PG was given breaks and opportunities to be with other reel partners. Patiently, SN followed his management and waited for more projects. SN was lucky. Amidst the new talents discovered by his network, he was among the few who had steady projects. Although part of the supporting cast, SN still had projects and a source of income.

While SN seemed to have settled down in his career, a ghost from his past relationship suddenly emerged, and thus, SN was once again drawn into the limelight because of Controversial Personality (CP). Prior to this stint, SN has been rumored to have a relationship with another girl, but a project had to make him declare that he was uncommitted.

With that project over and SN and CP clearing things between them, it seems that SN has once again cleaned his image of a playboy. However, SN has been spotted being sweet with Non-Showbiz Celebrity (SC).

In her own right, SC has a huge following that goes beyond her expertise. Other than her followers keeping track of her career, most of them are attuned to her love life. Over the years, the sweet and innocent image of SC has been smudged with intriguing love choices. One issue that has bothered her fans is if SC has already moved on from her high-profile breakup. Well, it seems that SC has indeed moved on and SN has much to do with the smile on the face of SC.

Secretly, SN and SC are allegedly dating. Although they are both single, revealing their status could have a detrimental effect on their careers. Given that SN is being paired with female celebrities in his network, news leaking that he is seriously dating SC could turn off female fans. When fans find out that SN is committed, they will lose interest because, technically, he is no longer reachable. Similarly, SC would be bothered by the fans of SN who prefer other partners for him. Soon, her social media accounts would be littered with negative comments from bashers, and who knows, extremist fans might even exert effort to distract her in the work area.

Given the many names of women celebrities linked to him, SN should be careful with how he conducts himself in public. If he is indeed serious with SC, revealing his choice might actually pacify fans, and he might even be praised for his honesty. However, that is not really how local showbiz works.
