At the beginning, the teaser trailer was promising and so were the two leads. While both leads were talented and had much potential, the gamble was too risky. Female Lead (FL) was pulled out of her loveteam with Cute Actor (CA) and their followers were disappointed. Still, these followers remained loyal and supported FL. Meanwhile, Lead Performer (LP) was an investment that carried much expectations.
With FL and LP being formed as a loveteam, the production observed that fans were not too enthusiastic compared with the other pairings of the station. Such dull support was traced to several factors. First, the chemistry seemed lacking between the two. Added to this situation is the publicity that LP was committed to someone else. For a loveteam to click, both should be single. In the case of LP, his lovelife is all over the papers. His girlfriend did not bother to react because she knew LP was just working.
However, despite the personal situations, the premature ending of the soap had to do with the need for LP to undergo more workshops to improve his acting. Even though, LP has experienced various emotional events in his life, the production is having trouble in making LP come out with the much-needed emotional acting in his scenes. Allegedly, this situation has frustrated many people on the set to the point that they gave up. Rather than continue the bleeding, the production opted for ending the soap ahead of its schedule. In this way, both FL and LP could move towards the direction they want for their individual careers.
Incidentally, FL was relieved when she found out about the abrupt ending. Coming from consistent top-raters, this project with LP tarnished her record. Apparently, fans wanted her teamed up with CA again. However, the problem is that CA does not have the talent that could match the capability of FL. Nonetheless, the network will not easily give up on FL and LP even though the running gag is that they want LP to return to his original station. The present network expects a good return on investment on LP, or else, he will be in the league of transferees whose careers remain in the freezer.
