  1. Is it mandatory ba na sa US siya manganak? I don't get it. Just curious.

    2. Naninigurado lang siguro. Ilang beses na siya nawalan ng Baby.

    3. They want the child to be a US citizen like Mariel and her family. Also, the fact that she's had a difficult pregnancy and had miscarriages before, if something happens...better technology and lots more specialists here in the US. They're doing it for their child.

    4. Hindi nmn sensitive daw kasi pregnancy nya kaya she chose na dito manganak.

    5. This is sad. I get why he wasn't allowed to fly here to the US, but what if something happens to Mariel or the baby? He can't even be with them or have that first skin to skin contact with his own daughter. Very bittersweet.

    6. I know why. It's because they want their child to be a US citizen. Simple as that.

    8. Anon 1:00PM, I'm sorry to say this, pero walang connection yung giving birth in the US, to making sure because "ilang beses na siya nawalan ng baby". Miscarriages, fetal deaths, etc. happen in whatever country you are. Your comment was nonsensical.

    9. The reason is not because they want na maging US citizen ung baby. Since Mariel is already a US citizen, the baby will automatically be allowed to have the same citizenship kahit saan ipanganak. There are rules na about this issue.

    10. Anon 1:44, si Mariel ka? o si Robin? Maybe Anon 1:00's comment is nonsensical to you but maybe it makes sense to both Mariel and Robin and for me it is logical. Is that still nonsensical to you? Yes, all of those risks with pregnancies happen everywhere thus it makes sense to take the necessary steps to avoid them.

    12. Anong 1:55, I think walang nagbago sa laws regarding citizenship by birthright. Sa USCIS website, ganun pa din. If u were born here, automatic US citizen ka regardless of the parent's citizenship.

    14. They just want the child to be a US citizen like Mariel.

    15. @1:11 kahit sa Pinas manganak si Mariel pwede pa din maging US citizen ung bata dahil US citizen sya. The child may follow her mother's citizenship. The U.S. citizen parent must be the genetic or the gestational parent and the legal parent of the child under local law at the time and place of the child’s birth to transmit U.S. citizenship.
