    2. That's the legal way of getting married..for your info you can't have a church wedding unless you get married in a civil ceremony, the church has to look into your civil marriage before they marry you.

    4. 10:14 Uhmm, no. I got married in church in Manila lang naman, but we didn't have civil ceremony. Hintay tayo ng lawyer na mag comment na lang, mas expert sila sa bagay na yan.

    5. 10:14 saan ung sinasabi mo? Sa italy ba?

    6. Maybe because one of them is Fil Citizen

    7. Civil marriage is what's honored in international courts. Major requirement sya for petition, et al. Legally binding talaga unlike when you get married at church na sa Pilipinas lang ata acknowledged.

    8. 10:14 where did you get that info? you dont need to have a civil ceremony bago mag church wedding.

    9. 10:41 for your info --sa pinas di na kailangan ang civil wedding pag may church wedding. same legal docs lang ang ginagamit. less hassle lang yung civil wedding (less gastos din) kaya some people opt to just have the civil wedding.

    10. Same issue with Isabelle Daza dahil same country yung venue. Baka dahil sa laws ng Italy o laws ng cities kung saan sila magpapakasal.

    11. Wedding date is the date you first got legally married. Same level ang civil at church wedding. Dito, obvious na judge yung nag officiate.

    12. Kailangan ng civil ceremony before the ceremonial ceremony if the priest do not do the civil portion of the ceremony.

    13. Not necessarily na civil bago church. Pwede dumeretso church wedding na.

      Delete
    14. That's the rule in Italy. Si Isabelle Daza ganun din. They had to get married civilly first. Both weddings in Italy.

    15. For non-Italian citizens who want to have a church ceremony in Italy, the couple needs to have a civil ceremony first. Just like tennis superstar Ana Ivanovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger. They have to have a civil ceremony first before the Catholic matimony rites.

    16. 9:46PM, civil ceremony comes first before the church ceremony.

    17. Not sure but I think a civil wedding is legally binding?

    18. In France, civil wedding is required in order to have a church wedding. I suppose, it might be the same in Italy.

    19. are you a lawyer 10:14? hindi naman ganyan dito sa phils..

    20. 12:45 kung di ganun dito sa Phils bawal ba na ganun sa Italy/France or any other countries? Kalokaaa

    21. Same with Isabelle Daza kailngan daw muna na kasal Sa pinas before they could get married in Italy. Yun daw patakaran Sa lugar na yun.

    22. Hindi ba to dahil sa new immigration laws ng Schengen countries, kailangan kasal na yung couple sa country of origin nung pinepetisyon nya. I think that's how their fiancee visa works na. Buti di ako tinamaan ng changes na to nung 2013.

    23. Pag sa pinas ka ikakasal you don't have to have a civil wedding, pero legally binded kyo kc pinapasa din yata ng catholic church yun sa munisipyo.

    24. Ay sis ginoo mga ka-baks! Ang reason po for doing civil ceremony first before church wedding Sa Italy for foreigners ay to avoid headaches in getting all the requirements. Example, proof of singleness by the embassy of your nationality, meeting to the archbishop of the host country to present all the requirements(baptismal, birth certi, confirmation, church letter where you are registered as regular member etc...)--- meaning big headache! Hindi Ko run gets why the Roman catholic churches do this for foreigner Parang tuloy dini-discourage mga couples to get married first Sa church... I know this because I had to go through the same thing in comparison to my friend who opt to get civil married first kaya all they had to do was book the church they wanted after showing their marriage counseling certificate and the usual baptismal and confirmation certificate... Hays sorry for long explanation!

    25. Ganon sa Europe, civil muna bago church. Sila Solenn at Georgina ganon ginawa kya late 2015 at early 2016 (respectively), officially married na mga status nila.

      Delete
    26. its a different case cguro if you marry in church in a foreign land not sure. But in Phil no civil wedding necessary when you wed in church cause the papers you sign in a church wedding are same papers you file in the civil registry after which you get a marriage contract the document you use for legal purposes.

  6. Can't they apply a marriage License in the city clerk's office in the Italian town where they will get married? Just curious, please do let me know if anyone's in this comment section lives in Italy or has gotten married in Italy.

    1. I think because of their citizenship, I believe both of them are not Italian.

    2. I'm not in Italy but in the Netherlands. Assuming that both are Schengen countries following the same immigration rules for spousal visa. Before 2013, kahit bf/gf pa lang, pwede na ipetisyon yung partner. But with the new law, kailangan kasal na sa country of origin ng petitionee bago maiapply ng immigrant visa. Di ko makakalimutan yan kase muntik na ko tamaan, buti na lang at that time, hindi pa fully enforced, nakalusot pa haha

    3. @6:05 they are not migrating. They are just getting married in Italy. Either Hindi mo binasa questions/comments above or may masabi ka Lang na taga-Netherlands ka???

  8. Ang alam ko sa schengen countries, kung may gustong magpakasal in any schengen countries kung saan one or both parties ay hindi citizen of the country kung saan magpapakasal must show certificate of singleness, certificate of no legal impediments to contract marriage ex. On going divorce proceeding. Church or civil wedding parehas lang requirements. Kaya cguro nagpakasal si cristalle dito para hindi na kailangan mag submit ng maraming requirements. Kasi church wedding nila ceremonial in nature na lang yan pang celebration to at effect na kang yan. What will be legally accepted by law anhway ay yung civil wedding nila.
