Can't stop crying when I watched this for the 1st time. What makes Maine interesting is that she's a superstar and an underdog at the same time. She has come full circle - from zero to hero.
And we all witnessed that journey. Kaya nakaka-relate tayo. We witnessed how afraid and shy she was at first but she tried to overcome it. We witnessed how, by sheer grit and love and support from people who matter, she is able to achieve all her dreams. Nakita at naramdaman natin lahat ng apprehensions at self-doubt niya. I can say that I almost memorize the lyrics of the song after playing it for nth times. ADN knew how good Maine as a writer. It came as a surprised to everyone that Eat Bulaga or APT team motivate Maine to write something for the movie. It was also mentioned by Direk Mike in one of his tweet, when a fan asked what was came first...the movie title or the lyrics. As I understood, supposedly the movie title, but what was happened the lyrics came first and they find it so swak to the movie. Back to the theme song, lyrics is soo beautiful. If you are currently in-love, I would sugggest you sing this song or play this to someone who give you an inspiration, this beautiful love song definitely melt that person's heart, promise!. Okay, granting that I am a fan, but even without that fact, this song got me on the first note. Penned by someone who by her own admission does not really sing (such a painful understatement, Meng!), this song is a proof that Meng's human potential as an artist is only beginning to manifest itself (and will continue to do so) given the appropriately supportive environment. This GIRL is REALLY & TRULY PHENOMENAL.

Hindi yung mga gaya ng iba tungkol sa kalandian, kacheapan, at puro pabebe lang ang tema at laman ng letra ng kanta. Sa mga ganito, mabubuhay muli ang tunay na OPM.

I can say that I almost memorize the lyrics of the song after playing it for nth times. ADN knew how good Maine as a writer. It came as a surprised to everyone that Eat Bulaga or APT team motivate Maine to write something for the movie. It was also mentioned by Direk Mike in one of his tweet, when a fan asked what was came first...the movie title or the lyrics. As I understood, supposedly the movie title, but what was happened the lyrics came first and they find it so swak to the movie. Back to the theme song, lyrics is soo beautiful. If you are currently in-love, I would sugggest you sing this song or play this to someone who give you an inspiration, this beautiful love song definitely melt that person's heart, promise!. In addition, the melody, musical arrangement and Maine's angelic voice are really wow!

ReplyDeleteOkay, granting that I am a fan, but even without that fact, this song got me on the first note. Penned by someone who by her own admission does not really sing (such a painful understatement, Meng!), this song is a proof that Meng's human potential as an artist is only beginning to manifest itself (and will continue to do so) given the appropriately supportive environment. This GIRL is REALLY & TRULY PHENOMENAL.

ReplyDeleteNot really a fan of hers but such an enigmatic song! there's really something to the song that's unexplainable and makes you want to play it all over again! you get addicted to it the longer you're playing it! not really into local celebs but mukang magiging fan ako ni maine and honestly nadaanan ko lang to sa FP as im browsing and got curious!
