    2. 1:21,

  12. Clarification for the readers and for Fashion PULIS: I was with the family when this incident happened. Mark fetched his dad from an event that night. At around 8pm, while driving along EDSA, his dad (who has been diagnosed to have a cardiac problem) suddenly experienced labored breathing and could barely move. Seeing that he needed immediate attention, we brought him to the nearest hospital which was East Avenue Medical Center. When the family arrived at the ER, we asked for help, narrated the problem and asked if we could borrow a wheelchair since Mark's dad was having difficulty walking and breathing. ER said they dont have an available wheelchair and offered a plastic chair instead. So he had to walk his way towards the ER since he was too heavy to carry. At this point, Mark's dad's breathing was really fast and labored and he was vomiting already. In fairness to the EAMC staff, they gave immediate management as to his dad's case. And later on, a wheelchair was finally provided. But since the ER is full and his dad needs more medical management (ER diagnosis was Mild Heart Attack), we transferred him to Cardinal Santos after his BP, heart rate and respiratory rate are OK enough to travel. The rest is history.

Mark was not ranting about the incompetency of EAMC staff. The nurses and doctors did the best they could for his dad during that emergency situation. He was just crying out a plea for more hospital equipment to help serve the patients well. Since EAMC is a government hospital, there will really be many patients. Sana there will be additional equipment as well, especially for emergency cases.

Mark has no intention whatsoever of ruining a good hospital's reputation. He also apologizes for any misuderstandings his tweet may have caused.
