  1. totoo. i really don't get why the government seems like they don't address this issue properly. media has one of the most important role in a society pero bakit pag may nagaganap na patayan e parang wala silang halaga? i know how it feels kasi my cousin who is a journalist was also killed and until now wala pa rin progress sa case nya. it hurts na sa list of media killings lang sya napapunta and not sa solved cases or so. wala na ba talaga pag asa ang justice system ng bansa?

    2. Evil people must die! Whether they are journalist, police, judge, banker, citizen, minor, etc. they must be wiped out! But they must have a very compelling evidence of their evil doings! Belonging and managing Satan's institution like the Roman Catholic Structures and Idols must be put to DEATH!

    1. Shame on you 12.35. Do you know how many people (journalist included) died so you can exercise your freedom of speech?

sorry , there are stories worth dying for. And time and again-- they are featured in many movies.

BUT DUGONG's verbal abuse is not worthy of any media's time.

    3. At 3.17 but did you even know marami din mayaman na journalist dahil nababayaran..mali lang pag sasabi ni DU30 pero tama na paruhahan ang mga corrupt na journalist lalo tinatago ang katotohanan.

Eh ganyan talaga, walang kiyeme. Mas gusto nyo ba ng sagot like, "murdering and killing of journalists is clearly a human rights violations, blah, blah".

    1. Kaya nga eh. Nakikinig ako nung presscon. Iba pag interpret at pag tweet ng media. Out of context.

    2. pilit syang pinalalabas na masama ng media, sila din naman ang talo. naghahamon sila na i boycott lahat ng activities nya at presscons eh ngayon sila pa ang naunahang i boycott.

    2. bakit wala ba dayaan nangyari?

    4. BBM wasnt CHEATED.
      HE was DEFEATED.

      accept it and move on

We can all argue who shouldve have won or not but at the end of the day hilaw ang pagkapanalo ni leni robredo. I am not saying she engaged in malicious activities but mas okay sana kung nanalo sya ng walang bahid ng tanong o pagdududa.

    6. Let's stick with the topic and that is about responsible journalism. Wag tayong sumegway at insultuhin ang tao based on hearsays because wala tayong masabi sa topic na dinidiskurso. Kung gusto nyo makipagtalo about leni vs bbm, this is not the right blog.

      Delete
    7. Lol on BBM being cheated on. Do you really believe a Marcos would allow himself to lose because of cheating? And with that small margin too? Such a powerful name/clan who only needs to produce CREDIBLE evidence to open an investigation. It's already June 6 and no charges were filed because there is no CREDIBLE evidence. Lahat ay hearsay, memes or unfounded accusations. Kesyo may kwento about this machine to do this and that. Kesyo may 3 "hooded" witnesses who claims this and that. Kung andami palang evidence what's the next step to do? FILE AN ACTUAL COMPLAINT! But none so far. With weeks left before the start of the term. Why? Because all these SUPPOSED evidences will not hold in court. And they know it. The Marcoses could easily get the best lawyers pero ano na. Phishing expedition "just in case" lang makalusot. And the croonies paniwalang paniwala. Because their master says so. Sad!

  5. malicious and abusive media must die. it's justified because a false report is not just. it could damage one's reputation, sabotage business and economy, and destroy lives. if one thinks irresponsible journalism is part of the job, then it's also the victim's prerogative to take a person's life who ruined him. now this is fair.

    1. Nawalan ka na yata ng logic. So you're espousing vigilantism? That kind of thinking is a slippery slope. Today the journalists, tomorrow sino naman ang Pwede patayin without due process? Yung mga nasa opposition? Yung mga may dissent sa gobyerno? So paano na? Get in line or we have you killed? Yes there are corrupt journalists, but saying they deserve to die is stupid and irresponsible.

      Delete
    2. Then you should file a case against the said journalist, not kill him.

      Delete
    3. why would you kill them?? kung biktima ka ng paninira sa media at gaganti ka by killing, sana di ka na offend in the first place. most of the killed media people are silenced kasi others think they know too much. only those na may tinatagong baho ang makakaisip na pumatay.

      Delete

  7. If not for the sacrifices of many journalists, many stories will not make it to our zeitgeist. Many have died, and many continue to die to bring the truth to the world. Yes there are some who are biased & corrupt, but there's no justification for outright murdering them, unless they've done a crime worthy of such punishment.

  8. It is semantics and syllogism. But we also have to look into the appropriateness of the words and context of his statements. We can argue about the word phrases and context all day but the impact and implications of the statement is still negative. I therefore call out Duterte on this.

    1. Have you watched the presscon? There was no way in his statement that he said justifiable ang media killing. He even said we can do investigation post mortem pero ayun na nga lang, patay na. What answer do you want to hear? Bigyan sila ng round the clock security? Armored cars? Bullet proof vest? He was asked and he answered it. Tapos

      Delete
    2. Yes I watched his presscon. He mentioned that some media personalities are killed because they are corrupt. That statement alone is very insensitive to the plight and situation of media men killed. We have the 2nd worst case of journalist killings in the world but him saying is not helping that situation.

      Delete
    3. We have the 2nd highest rate of media killings in the world. How can you justify his statement to that situation? It is worse enough that our Journalists are killed in the line of duty and then we have a president who is not sensitive enough to that. Digong is displaying "thin-skin" when it comes to the media. He is not officially in office yet but he is already showing this attitude of not open to public scrutiny. I believe in his advocacy but he does not need to rant and display a bratty behavior when he feels that does not like the questions thrown at him.

      Delete
Sayo na nanggaling na ang sabi nya some which clearly segregates the clean from
Corrupt. Ayan tayo eh, we seek for the truth but we hate hearing the truth. Naglabas na nga ang statistics ng task group na assigned for journalist killing saying na ALMOST lahat ng cases per investigation are personal related death and not by profession. Also, duterte gave a clear example of the journalist who was killed. Research about the guy in the internet. It has an article written by the kapisanan ng mga broadcaster sa pilipinas.

      Delete
    5. How can you say na hindi siya open sa public scrutiny eh sya nga yata ang kauna unahang presidente na nagpapapresscon ng live ng walang anu mang agenda prior. Walang script di gaya ng past presidents. If live man, press secretary ang nakaharap. How can you say such thing when the very first day of the campaign victim siya ng media lashing ng wala siyang kalaban laban and now you say hindi open sa public scrutiny?

And FYI, the former general assigned on the task group investigating on journalist killing has spoken na a big chunk of the cases were death caused by personal issues and not by their profession. The reason daw na mukhang marami is because the media declares the concensus without waiting for investigation. Basta journalist ang namatay, sinasama agad without waiting for the cause of death. Look it up, research.

      Delete
    6. Anon 11:28 you can push your agenda that he is open to public scrunity and then his camp declared not to hot pressconference after that. So what do you call that? If he was careful with his words and the impact it will cause then we will not be arguing about public scrunity. You can deny all you want and let the majority of the public decide. He will have 6 years of dealing with the press and let us see how he behaves. But can start to behave and act as early as now.

    1. But the fact still remains, most headlines are suggestive and manipulative. If you will not read or watch the full interview, you will just base your opinion on the headline. Say the news as it is. Hindi yung masyadong malisyoso ang title. Twisted story na tuloy nakakarating sa iba.

  17. Let's not be too sensitive in what Duterte says. The media is making too much fuss in every single thing he says, because they are not use to dealing with a person who calls spade a spade. Just my 2 cents šŸ˜œ.

    ReplyDelete
Same goes with what's happening sa critics nya. Pag sinabi nyang 'Some' ang irereport 'All'. Iisang word lang pinalitan pero changes the idea of the whole story. Good example is the journalist killing. Ang layo ng some/not all sa ALL. This mentality has to change kung gusto natin mag move forward.
