3. Get a whole bunch of fruits and vegetables!

"There's a very strong and well-established link between consuming fruits and vegetables, both high in antioxidants, with a reduced risk of cancer," Malone says. Research published in the January 2014 issue of the journal Current Colorectal Cancer Report noted that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables lowered colon cancer risk by 25 percent. "Choosing a variety of colors in your food is a great place to start.
