His New Benefactor

Some strange circumstance brought together Lost Actor (LA) and Celebrated Personality (CP) closer to each other. While not publicly known to be close, LA and CP used to work in the same network. At the height of their careers, both received much attention from followers and people patronized their projects.

However, their worlds are far apart. While LA sought fame and fortune, CP’s position allowed fame to liven up the chosen field. When LA had projects left and right, people admired him for his business sense. He chose to invest his money in several ventures, but as time passed, his businesses encountered many problems, which left him with financial issues.

Aggravating his woes is his dwindling career. When he had an offer to move to another station (AS), his home network (HN) stopped the deal. Thus, despite the press releases and a project that was waiting for him at AS, LA chose to stay at HN. After a few months, his projects at HN lessened until he was no longer visible, except for the rare moments when anniversaries are celebrated in a weekly variety show. Years passed and his fans wondered what has happened to him.

While his contemporaries managed to reinvent themselves and thus, strengthened their hold in showbiz, LA was unable to do any similar action. He remained stagnant and when that project finally came, it had to be postponed for a year or so. Thus, LA had nowhere to go. Unlike before, AS is no longer interested in signing him up.

When LA met up with CP, he told the latter his woes and the miseries he has to face. Being older and wiser, CP assured LA that things will work out and CP will do what could be done. After sometime, LA got an offer from the other network. Allegedly, it was through CP’s intercession with the bigwigs that LA was given work. The question of viewers watching his series is irrelevant, as he needs work.

During the times LA disappeared from the limelight, he was always seen with the society crowd and linked with women coming from the elite circles. Thus, people no longer wondered how LA could afford a certain lifestyle even without projects. So, why is LA seemingly desperate to have projects at the moment? Allegedly, even though LA was involved in relationships, he had a benefactor who made sure he was comfortable. Unfortunately, the benefactor broke up with LA, which left the latter out in the cold. Now, will CP assume the role of LA’s benefactor and make sure he will get the best with whatever CP can provide?
