So saang banda nila inihilera ang mga Arabo bilang nakakatakot when even witches and vampires are seen praying in the show at may hawak na rosaryo??

    2. ARMM has a point. Sa states nga eh Indian americans and other races are offended when other people portray their national costume for halloween. It's being blatantly racist if you do it here in the states. Sacred yan sa kanila eh.

    3. Did they do something/remark on being a stereotype Muslim apart from the costume?

    4. Kung sa inyo it's not a big deal, well para sa amin na hindi nag sicelebrate ng halloween (anti-satanic ritual) It is a big deal. Di nyo yun mararamdaman unless di kayo Muslim. The hell kung pwede nman gamitin priest or nun na costume bat di pa yun ang ginamit.

    5. 5:16 do you live and work in the U.S. ? It's Halloween , people can dress up the way they want. So the Chinese CEO was offensive then when she wore an Uncle Sam costume considering that the Chinese organization / community in SF is being investigated for illegal campaign funds and election fraud . I guess it depends on the IQ of a person. In this case those people who are making a mountain of a molehill have the intelligence of an imbecile.

Some people even dress up as Priest, nun etc.

  11. Tito Sen nor Joey did not show any disrespect to the dress. Holloween costumes nowadays are not like before where you have to wear a 'tyanak' or 'manananggal' costume. In other words, its not to scare people anymore but to dress up to a a different character. That is why you can see people wearing Yaya Dub, Matrix, Superman, Hulk, etc costumes where in fact its not at all scary. Come on people! There are nuns and priest costumes but how come no one opposed to it? People who wears sexy bunny or sexy super heroes? Its an issult also to some women that they show lots of skin. *sigh*

    1. Gamitin mo nga ang utak mo teh. Halloween ba yun?

      Delete
    2. Ikaw 12:12, ginagamit mo utak mo? Learn about Thobe. It is not a Muslim garb. It's a traditional Arabian clothing for men who happened, for some, to be Muslims. We dress as whatever we want during halloween, not to scare people but just to wear costumes. We wear whatever, like priests, nun, royalties, Mc Arthur, indian etc, and who cares? Many also wear same costume not only in EB but also in other countries.. Are you still living under the rock?

      Delete
Wag kang OA.

      Delete
    4. Anon 12:12 if we use the ARMM logic basta magsuot ka ng Saudian thobe discrimination na agad. If Tito Sen and Joey said something about being a terrorist then it is a diff story. A lot of movies were made na nakasuot din ng same Arab clothing and they portray terrorists, wala nman naging issue. Masyado lang naging OA.

  33. In the noble Qur'an, it was never specified that a kandora or a tob is the official dress code of Islam. There were guidelines to adhere to but never an official set of clothes. So those that get offended, at this are those who are indeed ingorant, and want to pick a fight for attention. It was also said by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that "If you have nothing good to say, remain silent". We could do well enough to have a RESPECTFUL discussion, but sadly, our Muslim brothers and sisters are cursing, and spouting obscenities all over the place. I am writing this to inform our Christian brothers and sisters that not all Muslims are ignorant of morals, ethics and breedings.

You should comment about your own sisters who wear the hijab yet wear skimpy clothes and flirt openly in Knightsbridge or your own brothers who wear the clothes and are found gallivanting and drinking in the clubs in Picadilly or The bars on Prague or how about the rapists that gets away after raping their Filipino or underage Indonesian maids or your fellow brothers and sisters who not only takes away the passport of their Filipino maids but also beats the crap out of them and make them work for 24 hours a day while paying them four hundred dollars a month. Or your fellow brothers who are binging on drugs in Mallorca or the families who have wine cellars in their homes. All of these things are true , as I have seen it with my own two eyes. So stop that hypocrisy.

Fact 2: Halloween costumes don't have to be scary all the time.
(Almost) Fact 3: It's election time, everyone is epal

Salamat..

    1. Apologize for what? So dapat lahat magapologize, Those who wear priests, nuns, pope, doctors, nurses, indians, polish, king, queen, princess, barong, saya, etc during halloween should apologize publicly for wearing such.

Learn about Thobe. It is not a Muslim garb. It's a traditional Arabian clothing for men who happened, for some, to be Muslims. So bakit magaapoligize si Tito Sen? Paki-explain, please.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Mr. Hataman, the dress is not the image of the Muslims, a dress is just a dress wore by Muslim people. ang damit na ito rin ang ginagamit ng mga berdugo kapag sila ay nag execute ng justice kaya di ito ang dapat sabihing image ng Muslims dahil hindi magandang gawing halimbawa na meron bahid ng dugo. it is where in Makkah Saudi Arabia ang tunay na simbolo ng Muslims.

  94. Issue regarding sa suot ni TTo Sen. Re-post from:

    Bismillah Al Rahman Al Rahim.

"Im a Muslim but I try to see things in a much lighter perspective. The thobe is a full-length garment commonly worn by men throughout the Arabian Peninsula. They normally wear this not only when attending to salah (prayer) but also when going to events such as weddings, engagement parties, funerals, corporate events, FOR THE RECORD, IT IS NOWHERE WRITTEN IN THE QUR'AN THAT THE THOBE IS A SACRED DRESS FOR MUSLIM MEN TO WEAR ONLY DURING SALAH (PRAYER) NOR IT'S STATED IN THE QUR'AN THAT ONLY MUSLIM MEN CAN WEAR IT. In one of Dr. Zaker Naik's lectures, he said that the dress code for men written in the Qur'an is mentioned in Surah Al Nur Chapter 24 Verse 30: "Say to the beleiving men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty .

Muslim men Can pray Without wearing the thObe. Muslim Can enter masjid (mosque) even without the thobe. QUOTING BRO. ABU MUSSAB WAJDI AKKARI's STATEMENT ON ONE OF HIS LECTURES: "YOU (MUSLIM MEN) WEAR WHATEVER SUITABLE AND COMFORTABLE FOR YOU SO LONG AS YOU MEET THE ISLAMIC GUIDELINES AND IT DOES NOT FALL UNDER IMITATING THE IMMORAL PEOPLE".

The thobe depicts decency and modesty as well that's why most Muslim men Wear this as an everyday garment outside. The senator and Mr. Joey de Leon, while wearing the thobe even if its just for a Costume party, did not make any gestures that Will be viewed in opposite of these. Did you see them dance a sexy song with a girl while wearing this during the show? Did they utter a sitele word of insult directly towards Muslims or Islam? Why dOnt search on youtube and see some Muslim men wearing thobe happily harassing and touching Muslim who are fully covered? WELL, THAT IS
    REALLY SCARY.

Some were ranting online saying that thobe was used in a halloween event so it already depicts Arabs are scary. Please reminded of the history of Halloween "is thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costuems to ward off roaming ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints and martyrs; the holiday, All Saints' Day, incorporated some of the traditions of Samhan." ctto

With all due respect to my Muslim brothers and sisters, in my own honest opinion as a Muslim, the thobe is just a dress not the entirety of Islam ALLAHLU ALAM (Allah knows best) so who are you to judge someone based on what you just saw without knowing his or her intentions? Who are you to assume and accuse that they are our disrespecting our religön in first place? it's (the thobe) not even written in Qur'an? You demand an apology from them for just wearing something that the Qur'an did not even acknowledge literally as holy? how many Muslim 'men around the world wear the thobe but DOES NOT ACT LIKE A TRUE MUSLIM? Mufti Menk said in one of his lectures, aside from dressing up modestly, lowering your gaze is part of a Muslim man's dress code.

ISLAM IS NOT JUST BEING DEFINED BASED ON WHAT MUSLIMS WEAR. YOU DONT DEFINE YOURSELF AS A MUSLM JUST BECAUSE you ARE WEARING A THOBE. ISLAM IS A WAY OF LIFE — THE FULL SUBMISSION OF ONE'S SELF TO ALLAH. It's your intentions and actiöns that you will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment and not for who wears or not the thobe. I do not see any Significant reason to make this issue a very big deal and not afraid to bashed by my fellow muslims because Of my stance on this. Why not focus and pray instead for the Ummah Of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that we may all be continuously guided to the right way towards Jannah (paradise)? As a Muslim, the only thing that I regard as the most sacred Islam is the QUR'AN. "
