It means in vitro fertilization. Yung eggs ng babae kinukuha and is fertilized with the sperm under laboratory conditions. The result of this fertilization is called embryo. Yung mga embryos eh ibinabalik sa uterus with the hope that at least one of them will thrive and result into pregnancy. Most of the times, two embryos thrive in the uterus kaya twins ang ipag bubuntis.

But good thing nalaman na so I'll do treatments soon. Kristine Hermosa-Sotto admitted that she has PCOS. Oyo mentioned na nag medications siya for first baby pero miracle na yung sunod. There's nothing wrong with IVF. At all. Will pa rin naman yan ni God whether it'll become successful or not. I don't get where the stigma is coming from. There's nothing wrong with admitting that there are times you have to seek professional help in one way or another. What's the big deal?
Not to be nega. But, having triplets can be really critical. Depending on the circumstance, sometimes the doctors will recommend to remove one or two of them to ensure a healthy pregnancy. Something about the nutrition of the babies na at least may mag survive. I know this because I know someone who have triplets. Sobrang maselan na kahit paglakad at pagtayo sobrang hirap at sakit. For now, I hope she'll take care of herself very well. And prayers will surely help. I am wishing them well.
it may not be IVF, but there are supplements that the OB will prescribe you to develop the eggs. I have same cyst in the ovary like Mariel, and having that means that my egg will not develop in a normal way. I was prescribed with a oral medicine for my egg to grow as a result, you may develop more than one egg at a time. In my case there are five developed eggs good thing only one catch the sperm :).

i think one reason why i find it hard to believe that it was conceived naturally is because the eggs were not conceived at the same time. from mariel's instagram : "1 has a heartbeat, 1 has a forming fetal pole and 1 has a sac. all iba ibang age"

Possible naman talaga multiple pregnancy kahit hindi magpa IVF. Yung kapitbahay namin nagbuntis ng triplets without fertility meds. Sinagot lang naman nya yung nag comment na baka IVF. Wala naman siya sinabi masama magpa IVF.

Pwede ngang IVF talaga ito. Siguro they transferred two embryos tapos nag split yung isa. Pero sa age ni Mariel I don't think i s suggest na mag transfer ng dalawa. Feeling ko nag high dosage na clomid siya. I read here na isa na lang ovary niya at may PCOS pa yata(not sure). So malamang nga they stimulated her follicles kaya nag release ng 3 eggs. Pero sa na release na eggs siguro yung isa lang ang pinaka matured and normal. Sorry Mariel, I an undergoing treatments kaya familiar ako dito. Sa USA marami nang celebrities ang open sa IUI/IVF journey nila. Last is si Kim Kardashian. Nakaka inspire yon sa ibang babae at nagbibigay ng tamang information sa mga tao. Sana may celebrity na sa Philippines na magiging vocal about these issues. Chiz Escudero and former wife took a while bago magka baby tapos noong nagkaroon biglang twins pa. Sounds IVF to me too.

Chiz did admit na IVF yung twins nila. I did all that procedures too to get pregnant and until now we're not successful. I also have PCOS and only 1 ovary... so I also believe na nag under go si Mariel ng treatments. Ang nakaka disappoint lang eh bakit ikakahiyang aminin?

DeleteMay isa pang procedure GAMETE. Alam ko once every cycle ang babae nag produce ng 1 egg. So kung 3 eggs - meaning nag undergo pa rin ng treatment.
