    2. Aminin natin na Marcos was really the BEST PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES. He had a great vision for us but those "rebels" who disguised as "democrats" TRIED TO CHANGE THE HISTORY. Its funny that all these years, Aquinos tried their best to relinquish all Marcos' projects and claimed them as theirs. BUT THEY CAN NEVER CHEAT THE REAL HISTORY. I was born in a wrong era but I would love to live in his administration. My parents told us how Marcos disciplined the Filipinos. We didn't know how to abuse our liberty at that time. Very many nations admire us for that. IGNORANCE IS NEVER BLISS.

    3. "I would love to live in his administration" and "my parents told us..." clearly shows "IGNORANCE is never bliss" in your own words.

Marcos left us with trillions debt. There was even a joke before in 1986 that newly born baby need no patting. He just need to be told that he has 5k US dollars debt to pay and the baby wil cry.

Have you read the book THE CONJUGAL DICTATORSHIP? Try looking for it. Its about 2.8k at national bookstore. I hope it will help your ignorance.

    4. 1:04 What do you mean by "they can never change the real history"?! - the world knows what the Marcoses did to the country, they know of the corruption, abductions, the blatant abuse of power. Most esteemed historians consider him a despot. NOT ONE of today's world leaders (except maybe Kim Jong Un) would claim to even remotely "admire" the Marcoses.

Unless you're being tremendously sarcastic, then I suggest you look up what "Ignorance" really means.

      Delete

    6. 1:104 AM Move to N Korea and I assure you that you will experience the Marcos era. If that is the kind of life that you want, you will be happy there. You got it all so wrong. The nations admired the Filipinos that fought the Marcos empire not the Marcoses and cronies that made the Philippines their own business.

    8. In Singapore, it is an open secret that Marcos greatly influenced the way LKY established modern Singapore. They were in fact goid friends. di totoong si KJU of n korea lang ang magaadmire kay f marcos if ever. MARCOS is a true leader.

    2. True! That is why Marcos always send Imelda abroad so she can charm her investment deals and economic/political relations meeting. I remember my history professor and my mom said that EVERY COUNTRIES WERE VERY INTERESTED WITH MARCOS AND SO IMELDA HAVE TO MEET THEM FIRST BEFORE MARCOS CAN MEET THEM. As a return, she was always receive a token of appreciation such as jewelries, shoes and luxurious souvenirs. YOU GUYS HAVE TO READ HER BOOK!

    4. The decline in the economy all started when there are countless coup d'etat during Aquino regime. The Aquinos dont know how to run a country because they're used to listening to theur selfish advisers.

      Delete
    5. Wrong! The economy started to decline DURING Marcos' regime. Exchage rate of dollar to peso was 1:2 pag-upo nya as president. Slowly nag-decline in his 20-year term.

Natapos ba yung sinasabi mo na human rights diba until now meron parin??? Sa ibang bansa nga eh, kulong at bitay pa ang ginagawa pag lumalabag kana sa bansa at may sinasabi kang hndi maganda sa bansa nila..

      Delete
The violations eh kc nmn umabuso ang mga nsa position and nag higpiy lng nmn c marcos dahil padami ang mga rebeldeng nasusulsolan ng mga gustong umopo sa pwesto. But u cant deny the fact na mas disiplinado ang mga pinoy that time. Ngayon oa sa pag express ng libersty. Konting galaw at mali puna agad.

    1. True. Either may amnesia mga tao ngayon or hindi fully aware about the Marcoses. They were too ambitious for their own good, used the people's money to make the Philippines "look" first world country when it isn't. What I'm trying to say is, they only cared about the appearance, the facade. The rest of the world acknowledged what they did was plain corruption. Madali lang kasi makalimot mhpga Filipinos.

  25. I feel good that there are readers here who are aware of the atrocities of the Marcos reign/rule. Like most of you, I have seen Imelda when I was younger. I was in high school then. I was 13 yo then. She was a special guest in my school and all the girl scouts were on the front line of the garden path where she would be walking. Human cordon ang papel namin. I was a girl scout leader and saw her really up close. Nganga lang talaga ako sa beauty nya. Anyway, in my senior year in high school I had a classmate whose kin was a big shot in the biggest network at that time pero nasara during martial law. She regularly took us to that network on Fridays and I saw all the big stars then. At that time, most of the stars in that network came from one of the big film production that had queens of the movie industry. Both of them still alive today. One had done teleseryes the other more controversial. Anyway, that classmate entertained us and sometimes shocked us with stories/gossips of Marcos' "desires" for and "conquests" of the young stars of this film production company. One of them, mestiza and beautiful, has been rumored to have suffered a nervous breakdown and was confined in the basement of a hospital. I entered university at the time and height of all the anti Marcos protests and learned all his abuses, etc. Sabi ng iba, mas mabuti pa during Marcos time. Yeah, if you were middle class then siguro but as part of one of my courses during my university days, I have been to the impoverished areas during that time. The breadwinners worked in factories close to the area where they leave. They are earning pero grabe ang buhay nila, their dwelling places were made of cardboards. Kaya yung magsasabi na mas maganda ang buhay nung panahon ni Marcos never knew what it was like to be poor then.

    2. Ma'am/sir, i gathered my facts- history, economics and geography. Not from the books alone. You may also talk to my law professors and reviewers. And yes, the kids of today need to be open-minded and should learn and not dwell on the negativities of the past. That's my opinion though..

Mga kalsada na dinadaanan mo araw araw sila naman nagsimula nyan.. mga infrastructure that hone the filipino talents and even tourists to attract them to visit us.

  34. It is funny how people claim may nadampot noon na harass or what but they cannot prove na it is Marcos LOL people then and now do things they do hindi dahil sa kung sino president. ANG POINT people like my mom who worked in the government mula nun hangang ngayon saw the difference. IT WOULD BE NICE FOR A TELL ALL MOVIE TO BE SHOWN. They were good friends before noynoy and marcos same frat pa nfa sa UP Many would agree that the vision of Marcos was amazing and cannot be completed in a lifetime. He is intelligent he helped in research, advancement, medicine and he made us look good all over the world. THAT IS THE WAY TO DO IT.So that we can get more investors royalties even Beatles went here Muhammad ali went here. WE WERE UP THERE.

Just check out classic videos on how other countries would welcome & greet her with such high regard even without President Marcos with her in some of her visits.

  38. President Marcos wanted the country to be independent from The US ngunit ayaw tayong pakawalan ng Amerika, kaya ayun nag.people power, which was actually US-orchestrated. Former IMF lawyers regarded President Marcos as 'the greatest lawyer that the world has ever known' bcos of the Gold thing na iniwan nya para sa atin.

President Bush back in 2001, during the 911 tragedy was asked in a TV interview, 'Which is the richest country in the world?' And he answered '(with a smile) The Philippines. Marcos knew that.'
