If your self esteem is that low that you allow other people to treat you in a crude and crass way then it is all yours to have but do not assume that your standards of being treated is the norm for other people. What may be funny for you may be considered as rude to other people. It is considered a prestigious pageant in the Philippines and I guess the contestants must have thought that they will be treated with respect and common decency. I also read an article in PEP Pearazzi about a votation among the readers regarding if bagsak or passed ang hosting ni toni sa bnp. Super duper malayo ng agwat! As of now, almost 900 people voted, of which 64% voted na bagsak si toni as compared to 36% lang who voted pasado. Huwag kasi masyadong mataas ang tingin sa sarili toni to the point that you make fun at the expense of embarrasing another person.
Before you say anything in public, isipin mo muna kung ano ang magiging reaction ng nanay mo kung ibang tao ang mag sasabi sa kanya ng sasabihin mo. Kung may lumapit ba sa nanay mo at sabihin sa kanya na "Wow, your earrings, has its own theme song. (Singing) I’m gonna swing from the chandelier and hold contestant’s earrings"? Besides there's no need to sacrifice the class and formality of an event to make it fun. There's always a better way to do it!! You should have been at The Araneta during that night. The atmosphere was really light and fun. During the breaks toni entertained the crowd by singing and giving funny jokes and antics. Kaya what you saw on tv was just oart of it kaya you felt it was a bit off. Kaya kahit on stage na funny parin at nagets naman ng mga nasa Araneta na ganun ang flow ng show. At the end.. It is just a matter of preference. Yung iba nagustuhan yung iba hindi. She can still be a better host after this.

Sincere or not, she doesn't even have to apologise to begin with. She was just doing her job. A job that she was instructed to do. Remember that these people are paid to do what their bosses tell them to do. In other words they have no sense of what's right and wrong. They can't perceive or see how the instructions are going to impact the show or their image even. Take Coco Martin as an example during the Bench Fashion Show when he walked down the ramp with a girl tied on a leash. They rehearsed for it but no one thought it was going to be bad. And the actor did what he was asked to do.

DeleteI also read an article in PEP Pearazzi about a votation among the readers regarding if bagsak or passed ang hosting ni toni sa bnp. Super duper malayo ng agwat! As of now, almost 900 people voted, of which 64% voted na bagsak si toni as compared to 36% lang who voted pasado. Huwag kasi masyadong mataas ang tingin sa sarili toni to the point that you make fun at the expense of embarrasing another person.

Besides there's no need to sacrifice the class and formality of an event to make it fun. There's always a better way to do it!! It's so obvious in the way you defend your performance, that you did not do your research that caused you wrong interpretation of what you are claiming a given instruction. To do it that way? I doubt it, no one will ever direct you 100% that this is what you should exactly do. Eh kung ganun lang din pala instruction nila why the hell BPCI never instructed those who did the previous pageants to do the same thing? Kaloka ka!!

Unfair naman kay Toni kung hinuhusgahan sya ng lahat kung ganun naman pala "instructions" daw sa kanya. OR magsalita na nga yung organizers kung ano ba talaga gusto nilang event, yung formal, semi-formal, or bakyang masa appeal like Toni.

ReplyDeleteYou should have been at The Araneta during that night. The atmosphere was really light and fun. During the breaks toni entertained the crowd by singing and giving funny jokes and antics. Kaya what you saw on tv was just oart of it kaya you felt it was a bit off. Kaya kahit on stage na funny parin at nagets naman ng mga nasa Araneta na ganun ang flow ng show. At the end.. It is just a matter of preference. Yung iba nagustuhan yung iba hindi. She can still be a better host after this.

ReplyDeleteSincere or not, she doesn't even have to apologise to begin with. She was just doing her job. A job that she was instructed to do. Remember that these people are paid to do what their bosses tell them to do. In other words they have no sense of what's right and wrong. They can't perceive or see how the instructions are going to impact the show or their image even. Take Coco Martin as an example during the Bench Fashion Show when he walked down the ramp with a girl tied on a leash. They rehearsed for it but no one thought it was going to be bad. And the actor did what he was asked to do.

Sayang ang pera natin kung gagastusin lang natin sa taong hinde marunong mag appreciate ng na-achieve nya, which really was brought about by us watching her shows and lining up at her movies. We are the ones who can make her realize that she's too arrogant and that she needs to change. Hinde sya masabihan obviously ng mga magulang nya, ng fiance nya at ng bastos din nyang kapatid.
