In fairness best answer in the pageant...for me... She talked about the importance of dialogue, that we filipinos have integrity,peace, etc. She thought of the answer in 1 milisecond... O my so witty.
She seems like a very smart lady. Her very Filipino features IMHO will also make her an excellent representative for the Philippines. She can try again. Better luck next year.

I wish people would stop calling Janicel Lubina a bimbo. Her answer has good content but she isn't as eloquent in English as the people who speak ill of her. Why? Kasi hindi po siya nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na mahasa sa wikang Ingles, 'di gaya niyo. And FYI, hindi importante ang Q&A sa Miss International so malamang manalo yan. Ikaw nga teh hindi ka pa makapag-spell ng tama eh.
Accusing Stella Araneta of being mad at Pinoys but calling your fellow Pinoy a bimbo 12:42? You can't even type out complete words. Napaka matapobre mo pa. Mahiya ka naman sa sarili mo.
Janicel is not a bimbo! She was actually spot on though she wasnt able to elaborate and justify her answer, reason it didnt turned out well sa paningin ng iba. Its true that she needs improvement on her comm skills and how to express her thoughts well especially in English pero napag-aaralan yan ang iba nga namememorize pa. Kaya nga may Php 180,000 Dale Carnegie Scholarships eh to arm and prepare them for international pageants.
Granting #34 had the best answer but looking at all the 15 finalists, di sya nagstandout sa knila tapos maiksi ang legs. Mahaba ang torso. And she has this really thin, athletic build na parang di bagay sa face nya n matulis at medyo malaki for her frame. May kulang eh for her to win one of the titles. Some people were saying andami awards, ang galing sumagot tapos di pasok sa winners? Luto daw kagad. Network wars na naman ang sinisisi.
But if you think of the awards she got, they were not really that relevant to the pageant itself. Ms jag, she was chosen by the jag representative and not the board of judges; best in national costume won via online voting and the best in talent award, Kahit sintunado nga as some of us know is still considered a singing talent and yet has little to no bearing in that type of competition. So go figure at wag nang pagpilitan ang di naman talaga.
Marquez really stood out that night in all aspects -- Q & A, her stunning and regal catwalk plus her fierce stage presence. Everyone agreed she should have won a title of even a runner-up slot. Kung ngayon nga na neophyte siya sa beauty pageant umarangkada agad at napansin ng lahat eh next year pa kaya na mas experienced na siya at mas alam na niya ang gagawin. Mananalo siya for sure next year or else ipasasara ko na ang Smart Araneta at ipatitigil ko na ang Bb. Pilipinas pageant na yan. Hindi man siya nanalo ngayon pero nasa likod na niya ang buong bayan next time. Kaya sali ulit please. Ang sumusuko ay hindi nagwawagi.
I completely agree with anon 12:59. Compared to the ladies who got the 5 crowns, isama mo pa ang 2 runners-up, Wynwyn's beauty doesn't measure up. And those girls had quite acceptable answers to their questions din naman. It's remarkable beauty+ok smarts vs ok beauty+remarkable smarts. It's a beauty contest so go figure.
Iha, try for Miss Philippines. Walang bias doon. Biruin mo, si Megan Young na kaF, nanalo. Naging Miss World pa! Mukhang a-bias cbn ang may pakana ng kakaibang resulta eh, never mind.
Mas lalong hindi siya mananalo dun. If you have seen the Miss World winners, you'd figure that the pageant prefers candidates who who are both beautiful and mabait ang aura to go with the "Beauty with a purpose" slogan. Si WynWyn mukhang mataray.
I was rooting for her. Carried herself in an elegant, gracious manner. Yung isang title holder, maganda nga pero airhead. Parang pornfilm actress ang aura.
