No. I disagree. First, the host must try to at least liven the event pero minimal lang. Absolutely no mockery! Thats a formal even for petesake! You have big people in there. Next, the winning contestants need to be prepared. Its a whole dog eats dog world for inter'l competïtion. Its what their aiming. Kung dito pa lang di kinaya ng nerves nila, e pano pa sila pupulutin sa world stage. And why was the host trying to be the star?? The main event should have been for the ladies. Maeksena maxado. Yeah, and i thought ms toni has talent for hosting.

Haha isa ka pa. You don't know the commotions that happened there. And Toni made an effort to make them, both the audience and contenstants, feel at ease about the situation.
She IS rude. On the showbiz show she hosts, she belittles the newbies and even veers away from questions in interviews to preach her unsolicited opinions. With more seasoned and famous celebrities on the other hand, she would ingratiate herself. It's very unprofessional and I wonder why she constantly gets these hosting gigs.
Thank goodness for Cary Santiago! Not enough people talk publicly about the crassness of her hosting style. The more it comes to light, perhaps her employers would take notice and either educate her or give the mic to better qualified people.
She said "hindi sya thank you girl ngayon.." before announcing the name of one of the top 15 winners. I think it's kinda rude since being a "thank you girl" is quite offensive for the girls. I mean, we make fun of that term but to say it in front of them and the hundreds in attendence is quite inappropriate.
Dapat Kasi Di na nya sinegundahan yung sagot nung contestant if she marries an man less successful than her. Eh yumabang ang Lola mo at sabi. You wouldn't marry a man because he is successful, you marry him because he is faithful. Something to that effect....agaw eksena kasi Eh, nawala yung presence ng contestant. Rude nga naman. It wasn't about you Toni, it was about the contestant being questioned,and you're really not suppose to intervene and make your own answer, you were suppose to thank the contestant for her honest answer.
I dont find it rude. She's just trying to make the candidates feel at ease since kabado sila. Her hosting Bb Pilipinas is a breath of fresh air. Kung hindi sa mga side comments & humour niya ang boring ng Bb Pilipinas.
Why would she even try to make the candidates feel at ease?? Eh hello, that's one measure of how good a candidate is, if they can function well even under pressure. Toni is a host not a psychologist. So she should do her job well.

What I don't like would be her voicing out her personal opinion whether she thinks the contestant answered the question well or not. Are they even allowed to comment on that? At least as hosts, be neutral nalang.
If she were smart enough, she could have answered the question properly. Unfortunately, her real attitude showed through her answers and jokes. Crass, rude, bad manners, insulting.

I didn't find Toni's hosting below the belt. Neil Patrick Harris' recent one was literally below the belt with his stripping. At least Toni didn't resort to nudity to appear/sound funny.

I agree with Cary, Toni was rude and behaved really badly last night. It was the Bb Pilipinas pageant, not some contest in Showtime. It has always been a formal event, usually with some dignitaries as judges. She not only mocked the contestants, but also made fun of Mr Go's surname. Very unprofessional.
Funny how this one negative feedback was posted but the positive feedback on twitter was ignored. She was trending last night and 99% of the tweets were all praises for Toni. Also, the deliberations took almost an hour and the people in Araneta were already agitated. Toni was asked to entertain the audience impromptu, to the delight of the audience! No script! Not sure if anybody could have pulled that off.
Sabi nga nung kaibigan namin sa abs siya daw ang pinaka plastic na tao dun. Lagi siya may opinion about everything. Lagi siya ang tama at siya ang Bida. I really don't know why abs is putting her in a high pedestal. They should give other artists a chance to shine. Hindi default mode ng lahat ng project eh si toni ang ilalagay. I really do not understand why ABS continue to make this stupid girl a host. It's fine if you're fluent but if you're rude hindi ka dapat interviewer. I remember seeing one of her interviews in the buzz and she made the guest look stupid. this girl needs to be reminded where she has been and where she will be if she continues to be this arrogant. i say boycott ALL her movies para maturuan ng leksyon ang pangt na taong ito.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Cary, Toni was rude and behaved really badly last night. It was the Bb Pilipinas pageant, not some contest in Showtime. It has always been a formal event, usually with some dignitaries as judges. She not only mocked the contestants, but also made fun of Mr Go's surname. Very unprofessional.
ReplyDeleteFunny how this one negative feedback was posted but the positive feedback on twitter was ignored. She was trending last night and 99% of the tweets were all praises for Toni. Also, the deliberations took almost an hour and the people in Araneta were already agitated. Toni was asked to entertain the audience impromptu, to the delight of the audience! No script! Not sure if anybody could have pulled that off.
ReplyDeleteSabi nga nung kaibigan namin sa abs siya daw ang pinaka plastic na tao dun. Lagi siya may opinion about everything. Lagi siya ang tama at siya ang Bida. I really don't know why abs is putting her in a high pedestal. They should give other artists a chance to shine. Hindi default mode ng lahat ng project eh si toni ang ilalagay. She may work for other hosting stints but definitely not bb. Pilipinas.

Alam ni Toni mga nandoon mga becks kaya nilabas nya mga hirit nya nung Q&A! Basta ako natuwa ako sa kanya!
ReplyDeleteI really do not understand why ABS continue to make this stupid girl a host. It's fine if you're fluent but if you're rude hindi ka dapat interviewer. I remember seeing one of her interviews in the buzz and she made the guest look stupid. this girl needs to be reminded where she has been and where she will be if she continues to be this arrogant. i say boycott ALL her movies para maturuan ng leksyon ang pangt na taong ito.
