I think she is not talking about "singing" per se. It's about voicing one's opinion - that sometimes, one does not always have to express it vocally. It's like, she's saying, some prefer to listen to the issues (like for example, what happened to the Mamasapano Clash), and then just keep whatever his/her opinion is, in his/her head without having to voice it out.
That's how I see it too. Emotions are high, it's understandable (for the Mamasapano tragedy). Some will say inevitably something, others will keep their thoughts to themselves.

ReplyDeleteLol, kakabalik lang po nya ng Hong Kong yesterday. Tapos she has events in the states in March and April. And In May naman she's gonna have a concert in Singapore. And there's this musical called 'Allegiance' that is Broadway-bound. So, anong pinaglalaban nyo?
ReplyDeleteI think she is not talking about "singing" per se. It's about voicing one's opinion - that sometimes, one does not always have to express it vocally. It's like, she's saying, some prefer to listen to the issues (like for example, what happened to the Mamasapano Clash), and then just keep whatever his/her opinion is, in his/her head without having to voice it out.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I see it too. Emotions are high, it's understandable (for the Mamasapano tragedy). Some will say inevitably something, others will keep their thoughts to themselves.

Lea will always be the Filipina who made us proud for making a mark on the international theater scene. I do not find anything wrong about her post. It is a point of view.An opinion. ReplyDeleteYes theres nothing wrong with the post but does she really need to so that? Honestly thats is a jab... And dont expect everyone to love and adore her... She had her ups and low hope he learned the word humility and encouragement... Her jabs are sometimes offensive and can fall in to the "know it all" category... Her tony and other awards are highly commendable but she is just as good as her last performance... What happened after her miss saigon les stint was great but after that who hire her??? Her flower dum was a big flop and her ao called hollywood career were no where... Thats why she's stuck here... So dont think lea that you're way too above anyone else coz those people were the one you would want to buy your tickets!

DeletePersonally, i dont consider Lea Salonga as a versatile singer. Yes she won the tony' etc etc, but it doesnt make her superior to other singers. Her voice is limited to certain songs.i bet if she can sing Mariah or Celine .. not in any instance I heard Regine, Gary or Ryan cayabyab na nag yabang ng ganyan.
