I feel you Andi. I lost my Tatay a year before I got married. They say a daughter's choice of a partner is more likely similar to how her dad treats her. Maybe true but not absolute. Maybe this time Andi should just pause for a while and stop looking for losers like jake to fill the void she is into now. It will soon pass. Just let it go.
A parents love is the greatest love there is. Aside from God. Will never cheat nor waver. ALWAYS TRUE AND UNCONDITIONAL. YOU can never find that in a husband wife or lover.
Oh well nasa huli ang pagsisisi, sana you spend more time with your dad that na nasa hospital, instead you're busy with that spoiled brat. Rest your heart first, take care of your daughter and listen to your mom.
Its not too late. Your Mom is still around. Shower her with more love and time. Listen and pay heed to her wisdom, too. Don't waste your time on the louse who will only give your more heartbreaks in the future. Focus on the people who have nothing but unconditional love for you.
