Speaking with reporters on Monday, however, Pascual said he was not aware that his confessions about Concepcion would be shown in the E! News Asia episode that aired last September 28.
"I said what I said. Huwag na nating palakihin 'yon. Para sa akin two years na 'yon," Pascual said during a press conference for his Sunpiology Fun Run event on November 15 at the Bonifacio Global City.
"As much as possible ayaw ko nang magsalita about it. We didn't know what was going to come out. When I was interviewed, no anything about her... I didn't know what they were going to release it," Pascual said.
Aside from Pascual's 20-year career, the E! News special touched on his personal life, revealing that he had his son Inigo undergo DNA testing to confirm their blood ties.
The 30-minute episode referred to Pascual's breakup with Concepcion as a controversy that "rocked the showbiz world." The actress' November 2011 interview about the breakup, it added, "sent the media into a frenzy."
Pascual's sister, Chiqui Gonzales, was interviewed on the subject. She said they were "very sad" about the breakup, especially their mother.
Voice clips of Pascual talking about Concepcion's tell-all interview was also aired. He was heard saying: "Either way, she was going to come out with it, and you know what I felt? I felt bad for her, because she didn't have to resort to that."
"I still love her, you know, with all my heart, but it's just something that she did that I wish she didn't do," he added.
In the on-on-one interview with "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda, Concepcion kept vague the reason behind her split from Pascual. "May mga hinahanap ako na napaka-basic lang na hanapin ng isang babae sa isang boyfriend, sa isang lalaki," she said at the time. "Ayaw ko na siguro pumunta sa details kasi parang ayaw kong siraan siya."
According to the E! News special, the interview raised questions about Pascual's supposed infidelity and sexuality.
"That chapter of my life," Pascual said on-cam, "I must have gotten more than 500 support messages. So much, you know? I've never received so much support."

Both kc and her mom think so highly of themselves, that is why when rejection is in the picture, they couldnt take it. ReplyDeletei saw that e special. it was about being a piolo pascual, its highs and lows. it tackled his professional and personal life. it showed piolo's capacity to endure the many demands of being a huge superstar, his vulnerability to intrigues that come along with it, and at the same time, live a regular life while handling everything in stride. all in all, this special made me realize that piolo is just a normal guy who works to fulfill his dreams for himself and his family, who makes mistakes just like you and i, who has relationships that do not work out and he is just a regular dude who is thankful for what god has provided for him. i wish him the best, he is now my idol because after all that's been said and done, piolo is by far better than the criticisms he has received, and at the same time, he is as good as he looks.

Bakit kasi kailangan pang maging straight para maging matinee idol? or maging good actor man lang? akala ko ba acting talent ang requirement diyan? talented naman si Papa P, yun ang mahalaga. kaya maraming nagtatago dahil sa mga expectation na 'yan. Sa tingin ko wala naman dapat talagang image ang mga artista, dahil isa silang canvas na kayang iportray ang iba't ibang uri ng tao.
ReplyDeleteYou're all forgetting something here... Piolo has a son -- who I think, is considering entering the entertainment industry. Even if Piolo wanted to do an exclusive/tell-all interview, he'd rather not because his son will definitely be affected by all these drama. I'm not saying KC did not have a hard time, but it's much more difficult for Piolo. Paano at san ka sana magsisimulang ipaliwanag ang lahat-lahat sa anak mo di ba?

DeleteIf you saw his interview with Tapatan with Tunying, he said that what's important is that his son knows who he is, his family and friends know who he is and most of all... The Lord knows who he is and he can face God and said he is not gay. So kung kaya niyang sabihin yon, who am I not to take his word for it. No matter what he says or does anyway people will judge. Bahala sa sila sa Lord.
