I like how it promotes theft and getting away with it! While overwhelming others with oneselfie! Misdirection! Brilliant! Genius! The unInitiated would have no idea of the subliminal message!
Mygawd! Shame, shame, shame!!
If my mind serves me right, Lay's Potato Chips is under the Frito Lay brand line, which is owned by PEPSICo. And PEPSICo obviously, is the same company behind Pepsi Cola. Having said that, i believe there were no copyright breached on Daniel Padilla's Pepsi TVC. The two well-known brands are owned by one company so I'm pretty much sure Pepsi Philippines had a blessing from the mother company to do a local version of it for Pepsi Cola.
Actually the concept is not even new. The bag thing was already used by Nikki Gil in her coke tvc from wayback. The selfie was used by the SID Pinasmile.
medyo parehas din yang pepsi tvc at yung coke tvc ni nikki gil eh. Ano ba pepsi, wala talagang originality kahit 10% man lang?
LOL
Hinde shunga si anon 3:09, dear. Ikaw. Messi is Argentininan, not Italian. Also he plays for FC Barcelona, Spain yon di Italy.
I am fully aware that Pepsi owns Lay's. BUT, the Lay's ad is done by an international ad agency while the Pepsi ad is done locally. It's such a lazy excuse that just 'cuz they are owned by the same company, they can away with having the same treatment to advertise their products. Binabayaran sila to think of original ideas to promote a product but they decided to just imitate an ad of a product from the same company. KAKALOKA!
Pepsico main (the one in the us) is partnered exclusively with one main ad agency. Kunwari mccann ang partner nla sa us... sa italy or lets say d2 sa ponas mccann padn ang ggmtn nla kc me exclusive contract cla. And true binabayaran cla to thnk of orig ideas pero pag cnb ng client ... wla kna maggwa.
Share lang ... it cn be direction of the client. And all of these commercials gets clearance from regional office (pepsico's main ofc governing operations in southeast asia) ... kanya kanyang trip yan. Kaya bago mag react isip isip din pag may time.
Walang issue dito. It was a directive by the mother company. Medyo lost in translation yung concept.
Normal lang yan. Usually international brands they make different version of commercial each country para may local appeal. isang concept pero iba version each country. since pepsico own's lays this is intentional. pepsi india and lays korea have the same exact commercial with their own local celebrity.
Replica
ReplyDeleteI guess Pepsi has no problem with "imitating" Lay's commercial kasi Pepsico ang parent company ng Frito lays. Relax relax lang mga peeps.
DeleteOMG!!! Seryoso to???
DeleteI like how it promotes theft and getting away with it! While overwhelming others with oneselfie! Misdirection! Brilliant! Genius! The unInitiated would have no idea of the subliminal message!

Delete100% imitation. Concept and the song kopyang kopya.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Lay's is a product of PepsiCo. So this imitation must have been approved.
DeleteMygawd!

ReplyDeleteunder sila sa iisang company which is pepsico.
ReplyDeleteFrito-Lay is part of PepsiCo. it's likely a common theme in all their commercials.

ReplyDeleteYup, may active partnership pa sila ngayon. Buy Lay's and get free Pepsi!
DeletePepsiCo owns Lay's
ReplyDeleteSo? It's not excuse for a lazy creative team. LOL
ReplyDeleteQuick to judge tlga mga pinoy....

ReplyDeleteang pinaka natatawa ako, parehong 31 seconds yung 2 vids hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteAHHAHHAA ANO PA BANG INEEXPECT MO SA COPYCAT?

ReplyDeleteIt cn be direction of parent company. And kahit ba complete copy eh un gs2 nla eh ano mggwa natn.
DeletePepsi OWNS Lay's so it doesn't matter, probably asked the local ad company to pattern local commercial after the Lay's one.
ReplyDeleteEWWWW KALOKA ANG PEPSI KADIRI

DeleteLionel Messi's Lay's commercial is not international, it's only exclusive in brazil and Lionel Messi very popular international football star.
