To Be or Not to Be

Young Starlet YS has had her share of controversies. At her age, YS had been embroiled in not a few issues that were kind of unfit for her age and status. She was once reportedly involved with much older men that hogged the headlines and attracted a variety reactions from showbiz followers.

YS also had issues with “attitude” – the one trait that is a big no no for stars, especially for beginners. Reportedly, showbiz media people were often slighted by her words and actions, often YS deliberately making them feel as if they don’t’ exist. The same mediamen have remarked that YS’ ‘diva’ attitude has no place for a star of her level.

Certainly, YS’ colleagues had a taste of such at a recent fashion event.

YS was contracted to endorse a brand of clothing. Along with the other stars from a network, YS was the only star from her network who would be walking the ramp with them in a fashion show of the said clothing line. But YS wouldn’t want to walk with them, she wanted a solo number rationalizing that she was the only star endorser from her network there.

The show’s Production Head PH put her foot down, saying that allowing YS to walk solo would make it appear that she was the biggest star of them all, which was not the case. SO PH told YS that whether she liked it or not, she had to walk with a partner – or not walk at all and go home.

In the end, YS was sent home.
