  2. Tama lang ang sinabi sa evening news a few nights ago na dapat i divulge ng smart & globe sa bawat mag su subscribe sa unlimited plans nila na may cap actually. Kung hindi kaya ng mga telecom companies na eto then they should stop offering "unlimited" plans. There should always be truth in advertising.

  3. I believe they do inform their subscribers about the cap on the unlimited data plans. i've inquired with both globe and smart when i wanted to upgrade my plans with both service providers. Both informed me of the caps they have caps on their unlimited data plans ( LTE ). And yes, they did inform me, without me asking about the cap. this was before the news broke out on this issue. I guess it's a matter of perception of the subscriber. either one may be distracted ( excitement and noise ), or they've heard nothing more when they heard the word "unlimited".

    1. Or not perception but more of consistency on mobile providers' way of explaining the plan. Admittedly, we encounter some representatives that will not bother to explain the mobile plan for the subscribers to fully understand the inclusions of the contract. Lucky you!

    2. Hello! Baka ngaun ka lng ng inquire, wala sa kontrata ang FUP 2 years ago same with my unliplan sa globe dsl 5 years ago. Excuse lng ha

    3. It's not just a matter of divulging kasi. They have no right using the word "UNLIMITED" kung may cap pala. It's like saying you have eternal life but you'll die once you hit 10 million years.

    4. Ano ID number mo sa Globe, teh? BGC office ka ba based? Tigilan ang pagpapanggap.

      Delete

    2. anon 2:35am dito sa thailand meron talagang unlimited plan, speed gets slower lang after you reach the limit but still, no need to pay for excess usages.

    3. Meron. I have tmobile here in la and I have a truly unlimited data plan, text and call in the US. Just sayin'.

    8. My sister have sprint in the US and she have unlimited lte and it doesn't slow down. When i applied for a postpaid plan i wasn't told about caps. They jst assured me of unlimited lte. Even with their tv and print ads. That's false advertisement.

In this day and age streaming media and torrent downloads ang pinaka rason kung bakit nag i internet ang tao....

And you have to deal with it! Such a lousy Telco. Huh

  6. Its bogus marketing!!! You dont call something "unlimited" when in fact there is a limit! Hindi ito dapat burden ng subscriber, Globe should upgrade their system to accommodate all types of plan holders, be it a heavy user or not!!!

    ReplyDelete
That was the time na launch ng iphone5

    ReplyDelete
Kaya ngaun pati postpaid subscribers naaapektuhan..

    ReplyDelete
  9. It was not the case when I renewed my contract with Globe just December last year. The reason I renew it is due to the fact that they are claiming of the Unlimited Surf. I've been with them for a decade now. Recently lang nagkaganyan. Aside from the poor service (literally both customer representatives, management and their services), nothing should be expected from them. Sobrang kawawa ang mga consumers. We can't do anything about it!

anyway, they should change the UNLI marketing.. at wag na lokohin ang sambayanan!

  12. there's no such thing as unlimited service.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 2:24, baka iyong kausap mo ang nag-explain sa iyo kasi sa akin walang nagsabi. and i really listen kapag nag-eexplain ang provider sa kahit anong sinusubscribe ko para alam ko. anyway, kung totoo mang may cap, dapat hindi nila i-label na "unlimited" ang service nila. kasi unlimited means no limit, no cap. by labeling their service "unlimited", they're deceiving their customers blatantly.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @ 2:24, dear, sa tagal ko sa globe. ni isang text wala ako nakuha informing me about cap cap na yan....

    ReplyDelete
  15. jUST REMOVE THE WORD UNLIMITED PARA WALANG CONFUSION HAHAHA

    ReplyDelete
  16. @2:24

No, globe did not inform me about the data cap when I recontracted last december. They only announced the data capping last month after many subscribers got the "unlimited" LTE with their iPhone 5s

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ang alam ko dito sa canada example ang Wind provider sasabihin unlimited data pero up to 5 to 6gb lang and the rest i slow nila internet mo but still makakapag internet kapa rin.ganoon ata ang unlimited

    ReplyDelete
  18. It doesn't matter. Nagrerely kami sa word nyong unlimited. Im one of those inside 3% heavy data users. I dnt care, nagbabayad naman ako diba? Kung hindI nila kayang I-compromise, edi wag sila mag offer.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Unlimited naman talaga ang surfing sa Globe. Pag na-reach mo na yung 1GB/day or 3GB/month, babagal lang ang speed mo at makaka access ka pa rin sa internet.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. Uh-huh. Good luck accessing the internet on Globe's pathetic 2G connection.

      Delete
  20. I did apply sa smart but they informed me na once I hit 1.5 Gig of data usage within the month my so called LTE will be downgraded to 3G pero unlimited pa rin. So I guess hindi calibrated sales reps nila.

  21. I worked in a telco before and ung mga ganitong concerns ang pinaka mahirap ihandle/ iexplain sa customers kasi para sakin unfair talaga kaso kelangan mong ijustify ung company

2g is like having no internet at all.

  36. wala talagang kwenta globe, kaya nga lumipat na lang ako ng ibang service provider. more than 10 yrs na akong naging subscriber at habang tumatagal lalong lumalala ang service nila dahil hindi nila makayang makipag sabayan sa kumpetansya ng maayos. parating me sablay.

    ReplyDelete

Kasumpa-sumpa!

  38. Kahit naman hindi ako kasama sa 3% ang bagal parin ng internet (never received this text message you guys are talking about), so what's annoying is that Globe knows the capacity is too little for the subscribers in my area, they use this kowledge to sell pocket wifi to me (which also has a cap limit btw as somebody says in the comments above, good thing I didn't subscribe) the best solution (and most expensive) is to increase capacity. They should have expected subscribers to increase (because one, it is the right time for it and two, they have put a lot of efforts into marketing). What they should have done after focusing on marketing (this strategy obviously worked) is to increase capacity instead of investing in a fancy new office. Ktnxbyerottentelco
