What a Businesswoman!

Social networking has spread around the world with unbelievable speed. Admit it or not, its influence on the netizens practically dictates how we do business, conduct ourselves - generally, how we live our online lives. To some extent, it molds us.

If you’re an active social-media user, you can’t deny the phenomenon that is Instagram. " Its online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service enables users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on various social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr." What one can't communicate in words, some photos make the task easier.

The immense popularity of Instagram has captured millions of users worldwide. To some people, Instagram is heaven-sent, as they are able to enjoy its huge privileges. Rightly or wrongly, it has become subject for abuse. And whether they admit it or not, some celebrities are the ones who are guilty of this abuse.

Merchant Followers MF of celebrities use the opportunity to promote their products on the celebrities' Instagram feed knowing that their huge following get to see MF products. Needless to say, it is surprisingly cheap, especially for the cost-conscious entrepreneur. In return, some MF give celebrities some products for free.

Very enterprising TV Host TH is one notoriously known for milking this opportunity. To be able to cut cost, TH has now reportedly gone to using Instagram as a business platform, without a sweat. Allegedly, she asks her MF for some product samples such as clothes, food, and even pricey ones such as watches and at times even GC's, too. The items have to be delivered to her first before she posts their pictures on her wall. Reportedly, TH has gone overboard, asking as much as 50% discount for travel fare.

Yes, it is - social media has redefined public's perception of what social graces and etiquette are all about.

" Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing." ~ Abraham Lincoln

    2. Harbatera means asking. Some online sellers are aggressive and wouldn't really take no for an answer by flooding the celebrities ig account. Marami paring mabait at nakakatulong kesa nangaabuso.

    3. S is nice to online sellers. She does not ask... mahirap tukuyin ang BI na ito dahil napakaraming artista na nagpapasalamat at nagpopost ng items.

Geeesh takaga!!

    1. Delicadeza tawag dyan. Pag condone mo na bigyan ka at postmo, INI-ENCOURAGE MO NA BIGYAN KA NG IBA. HINDI TAMANG VALUES YAN.

    2. sellers are expecting them to somehow endorse their products through their posts. There is nothing wrong with that cz di naman sila humihingi, kusang binigyan. ang masama, yung piadalhan mo tapos talagang never kang ma mention man lang. it's nice to know that some of the stars, even the big ones undertand that they are helping sellers. malaking tulong sa kanila.

    5. Give and take lang naman yan.

Some are abusing already their privilege. They got to amass things without sweat.

    ReplyDelete
I want one for all my fingers. I want 5 of those.

  24. kung isipin mo naman din, sellers via IG tags on the accounts of the celebrities. so mga "freebies" na hinihingi ng mga celebs na yan would be sort of a "TF". sellers get to have exposure, celebs get something for helping them with the exposure. win-win lang naman if si TF naman would give the seller a big boost, may right naman siya to demand.

  25. I still can't get it.
